Rolling Bones (GMTK Jam 2022)

This is a single-player board game where you fight monsters in your path. Manage risk vs. reward as you decide whether to spend money on health, rerolls, or other upgrades, or to save your money and gain interest for each time you pass the Start space.

Objective: Get money and buy a star! You might have to fight a few skeletons on the way there...

Controls:

• X (when dice is spinning): jump to stop dice
• WASD or arrow keys (at crossroads): choose direction
• Click (when buying items or star): select button
• Click and drag (after dice has been rolled in battle) move dice
• Move dice to player (left) ATK box to use it as attack
• Move dice to player (left) DEF box to set it as defense
• To reroll, move dice to Reroll box after all dice have been rolled this turn (costs 2 coins)
• Player ATK minus Enemy DEF damages enemy. Enemy ATK minus Player DEF damages player!

Known bugs:

• Moving a die while it's still rolling will softlock the game, so please only move them after you've jumped and stopped the die from rolling! Sorry about that! D: If you do run into this, I think you can drag it to the Reroll box to fix it if you have 2 coins to spare.
