About

Sometimes there is nothing better than a tourney in a classic battleships game. You can see a beautifully designed sea battle, familiar to those from your school times. You have to play against the computer and you need to destroy all enemy ships before yours are destroyed.

Features:
  • Very beautiful graphics
  • Classic game
  • You can compete with your friends
  • Supporting all platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, SteamOS)
  • A lot of Steam achievements

The gameplay is very simple. When you are preparing for the match, there are some ships of different sizes - from simple battle boat to a huge battleship. You put them on the battlefield and nobody else than you knows their location. Of course, don't know the enemy's positions neither. Thus the battle is absolutely fair and you can only guess where to shoot. Of course, if you hit a battleship for the first time, it will be easy to find the other tiles. However, finding all enemy boats can be a real challenge. Do not forget that this game is not about speed, but about variety, so that the battle is always different. The game perfectly develops strategic thinking and will be useful to both adults and children. In addition, it will help you to plunge into nostalgia for simple classic games.

Royal Battleships reviews and comments

I bought Royal Battleships at the Sale for 39 Cents and correspondingly low were my Expectations. Graphics and Sound are very simple, but sufficient, considering that it is ultimately just a simple "Sink ship." There are hardly any Configuration Options. Music and Sound on or off, Window Mode or not, change Resolution and graphics quality. The Gameplay principle is known to be placed in one's fleet of different sized Ships and then, against the AI, alternately try to hit the Enemy's hidden Ships. Placement can be done manually, but also by Random Generator. Unfortunately, there is no Multiplayer Mode, so you can only compete against the AI. Here's the big Minus point: When the AI lands a Hit, it knows how the Ship was placed. This means that all subsequent Shots will hit until the Ship has been sunk. That's why, unfortunately, no Purchase Recommendation from me.

Royal Battleships or Royal Battleship-actually in the title and lies already the very essence of the game, namely-this is the classic naval battle, which we are accustomed to play in the school in the notebook in the box. The Game is against the computer, which is a very strong rival (to be honest, I even fancied that he knows all our positions and just sometimes gives in, a joke:), although in each joke only a fraction of jokes). So, after the launch of the game, we are greeted by a simple menu with three main buttons, with the talking names: "Start", "Top" and "Exit", which are located on the background of the water battle with the beaten and already sinking ship, plus two more buttons, responsible for the shutdown Music and sound. We Also hear a very nice soundtrack from Eric Matyas, the link to the library from where the soundtrack is taken is listed in the game itself on the start screen. Also very pleased the sound of explosions when hit the ship-very realistic and even seems that somewhere I already heard it... After pressing the button "Start" We get in the menu of the arrangement of ships, where everything is quite simple and understandable, there is also a button randomayz, made in the form of dice, which allows us without wasting time immediately fill the playing field with ships Randomly. Then I think everything is clear without words, as soon as we have placed our ships and launched the game, our computer rival has also placed his flotilla and ready for battle. Click randomly or adhering to a certain strategy on the cage, where the enemy can be-if there is not, then we hear just a click, if it is-the most realistic sound of the explosion is heard. The game has only 19 achievements, which are easy to open during the game and do not require special for any body movements. The Game is inexpensive, neat, made on the popular engine Unity and in general it is a wonderful timeskiller, so for example to pass free time for example on tedious work at the computer, and just have fun to pass the evening, so I recommend to Purchase, especially in the season of discounts and sales.
