S2ENGINE HD reviews

S2ENGINE HD takes getting used to, has to contend with Bugs in some cases and requires a lot of Training time. Nevertheless, it offers Interested parties the Opportunity to create their own Worlds according to Their Needs. What can be conjured to the Screen WITH S2ENGINE HD can definitely be seen. Personally, I use it for World Design, Camera Animations, Screenshots and more. The Biggest Deficiencies of the Engine are: Outdated, faulty and missing Tutorials, which make It difficult for Beginners to Get started. On The other hand, it is Positive That design possibilities, Import and Export of Models as well as the Production of Animations are positive. Finally, Would I use this Engine to Make a Game? No. Definitely not in the current State. So You just have to know how to create something to get usable Results. So The blue Thumb is, from my Point of view, "Absolutely justified." Btw. The Recording Time Displayed by Steam does not match the Actual time invested, as InHouse uses different Computer Systems.

Tried the Engine for about 2 Hours and I couldn't convince me. Although It costs only €20 once, you can also see that the Engine is aimed at hobby developers. You can import your own Maps or 3D objects (which is great and always should be), but there are not many Possibilities open in the general Development Process, as this Engine Is the Drag and drop principle (select and install in the Map). But you can do that even at Unity or Unreal Engine 4 without Mastering Great programming skills, only the well-known Engines are far more effective. This Engine only supports Resolutions of up to 1600x1024 (so no future-proof resolutions). This Resolution could also be changed manually in the compiled Project, but the End user cannot be trusted to do so. In addition, (at least with me) the Textures flickered in the Final Product. From the lagging (as others report) I didn't feel anything. The Engine ran fluidly and the Graphics are nice as DirectX10. For Hobby developers, the Engine is vllt. But not for People who want to work seriously on a commercial Product, because the Quality of the Final Product Does not convince me. Silly AI-Relatively stiff Animations-if you want to get something Out of the Engine, programming Skills are still in demand, on the other hand you can only produce Garbage with it. So What does this mean for those Interested? Get straight to Unity or UE4, because there you can do the Same as in this Engine and much more, with higher Quality. These two Engines are free for use as long as you want to sell your Project.
