Sailaway - The Sailing Simulator reviews

Sailaway is certainly the best Sailing Simulator You can get at the moment. All the Seas and Oceans of the World can be navigated without Borders, all Sea Signs are available and you drive around the World with current Weather and Wind. If you take a Sea Map and navigate with The circle and Map, E.g. through the German Bay, Sailaway is well suited for Practicing navigation with Map. Regular Regattas also take place, with Short Tracks and viral Stages of the Volvo Oceanrace, or the Vendeé Globe around the World. After almost 180,000 Nautical Miles I have to say that I enjoyed a lot of Fun and will certainly prepare more. Sailaway left Early Access status a Week ago and is now available as a V1. Sailaway is written by a small Group of Programmers who have set themselves the Task of creating the best and realistic Sailing Simulator. This is ambitious and in the approximately 10 Month early access phase a lot has been implemented, supplemented and you have to say a big Thank You and Respect to the Team at this Point. Unfortunately, however, you also have to say that Sailaway is an unfinished Product and you have to ask the Question if and how it goes on. Instead, you can whizz over The Water at a Speed at which the Yacht would tear up in real Life. A number of building/attractions have now been added. Most Building Blocks, however, look like Placeholders. Unfortunately, the Team left the Early Access too early and half-finished Throwing a Product with an extremely high Potential onto the Market. Until now, a Basic World has been created that wants to be expanded. There's Wind, Water, land Masses, a few Buildings, a few Boats. What to ask for: Good Boat physics, more different bootstypen > Workshops!!, Ports, more realistic Water, buildings, vegetation, Shipping based on AIS data, adoption of Routes from Programs like Squid or QtVLM. All in all, Sailaway is currently the "best" Sailing Simulator. It Is to be hoped that the Simulator will be further expanded. I enjoy it, but unfortunately at the moment only the Base is created, the Content and the one around it is missing! That's Why, unfortunately, just a Thumbs down at the moment!
