Sam & Max 302: The Tomb of Sammun-Mak is the second episode of Sam & Max Season 3 and it is said to be one of the best entries in the series. It differs from other games in its random way of storytelling and weird craziness of two characters of Sam & Max.
The game tells a story about the adventures of the grandfathers of Sam and Max, Sammus and Maximus. While playing the game we get to know how they explored the tomb of Semmun-Man, a pharaoh. The game story is told through flashbacks that are presented in sets of film reels which are small chapters with their own stages and objectives that Sam and Max have to complete and puzzles to solve. There is also a comeback mechanic of the game, where characters obtain some powers which let them go back in previous levels to solve previously impossible tasks. The story of the game is told in a non-linear manner.
In this episode of Sam & Max, lots of well-known characters from Season 2 appears but now they all are younger yet they are done very interesting. Despite the fact, that the game has lots of humor and light adventure elements it’s still dark and very serious drama tale.

Sameth: I'd like to inspect your trunks. Elf: I bet you would, creep! Sameth: That didn't come out right. (Knocks again) What I meant before was, I'd like to lay my hands on a chest. Elf: Well, keep your hands off mine, weirdo! Maximus: Wow, Sameth, I never knew you had such a thing for elves. You think you know a guy...

Description: The Second episode begins in a second after the end of the first. Sam and Max opened the casket and saw the skeletons of themselves or not themselves? What are these skeletons and how they were there to us and to find out passing the second episode of the game... Sam and Max find old films and watching movies, trying to restore the events of the past years. All the locations in the episode are new, but not the songs, not sparkling humor, no mini-games and did not see. Where are all the first two seasons? In General, the episode was pleasant, but could be better. P.S. very upset that you can not change the resolution of the screen and had to play in a small resolution. Episode Score: 6/10 post-match: If you liked this review welcome to the group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/uojer-here you can see the recommended games, other reviews, as well as just chat in good company.

The Game overall (Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse) is bad. This Episode (like everyone else) is bad, too. On Episode 2: The Tomb of Sammun-Mak Sam & Max, silent Films by their Grandfathers find themselves having an Adventure in Egypt (they're Tomb Raider and Agatha Christie). As sinful as history seemed by and large, it became, in detail, hideously absurd. They are looking for the Devil's Toybox, behind which probably all sorts of People are after, but first in a Theatre you have to win an event, which consists of entering a mechanical Sphinx mouth, but they probably need the Toybox that the Elves that once Santa Claus helped, who is now, if I am not mistaken, also in Egypt. While the Mole daughter peeps into the Vampire Jürgen, he probably wants to run on this Box as well, but is banished to a Wall by Papa Maulwurd as a Picture. I certainly got it wrong, but give up on wanting to tell it correctly. It is interesting to note that the whole Story is divided into 5 Episödchen (Films), which have to be played in every Order and again and again alternately. If it remained understandable, that would be a High-level overall Issue. For me, however, it was all too often unclear what I would have to do to get ahead. I gave it up at any time, because I want to get through even further, because the Walkthrough was practically no longer put out of my Hand. Still, arguably the most interesting Episode of Season 3.
