Secret Agent reviews

Simple platformer from Apogee/3D Realms. Made pretty cute (even the enemies are some cute), with love to detail as possible on 320x200 in 16 colors. The Game is divided into 3 episodes. Unfortunately, in the 2nd and 3rd episode new-only the architecture levels, the rest of all-the type of enemies and graphics of individual "bricks" level-the same, even the plot as though repeated three times. Personally, I passed only the first episode, even 20 years ago (in 1995-1996)-I was not enough.

Secret Agent is a nice game of MS-DoS from the grandiose era of Apogee. Following the pattern of other greats like Duke Nukem, we find a game of platforms full of nooks to explore and items to collect. We Control a small spy wrapped in a red monkey, who has to traverse the maps of several islands, gathering information for the government and dismantling enemy bases. For them it will be necessary to obtain keys for the security doors, diskettes to use them in the terminals that deactivate the laser barriers, and dynamite with which to blow up the bases. Secret Agent is a fun game, but you have to keep in mind that it is almost 30 years old. Recycle enemies, funds, items, everything, and can end up being repetitive, but the nostalgic load it brings makes up for you if you lived this time and you liked Apogee's games.

Preface: The Review is part of a series of great research 3D Realms Anthology incorporating 32 retro games from the illustrious creator Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior. In This series of reviews I will not evaluate something and write pros or cons, will only be a general description mixed with my opinion. Thumbs up or down will only show, I liked the game or not and no more. Game Description: Platformer, 1992 release. We are presented with three episodes, each of which is a free choice of missions on the global map. There is Nothing usual here... Our main character jumps over obstacles, collects cartridges and different treasures with glasses, kills enemies, collects keys and opens the door to eventually come to the finish line. There is a possibility to persist, there is an opportunity to pass levels, complexity within reasonable. It is not surprising, but after 23 years after the release of the game, it is interesting to play. There is no disgust from the graphics and let there is no music, let some chips of the game morally obsolete... You can have A nice time and challenge yourself. I raise my Finger upwards, but I warn that not everyone will have to taste it.
