Seed for Speed

Calopsitas no volante!

Junte seus amigos e tente controlar um carro em perseguição. Só tem um detalhe: todos os jogadores são calopsitas! Logo, cada jogador não consegue fazer nada muito além de gritar e assumir uma parte do controle do veículo. Então coordene suas ações, escape da polícia e grite como uma verdadeira calopsita faria!

• Multiplayer no navegador: deixe o jogo rodando em um computador e os jogadores podem entrar na partida acessando uma página da web. Assim, o jogo comporta MUITOS jogadores!
• Cada carro por si: os jogadores são distribuídos em carros. A câmera acompanha o carro que está na frente. Quem ficar pra trás é pego pela polícia. O time que estiver no último carro livre vence.
• Continue gritando e ninguém é pego: cada integrante do  time é responsável por uma função (como virar para a direita, virar para a esquerda, acelerar e gritar). Coordene os movimentos de todos para a vitória!

Seed for Speed é um jogo feito em 2019 para a Game Jam da 22ª Semana da Computação da USP de São Carlos, com o tema "Descontrole Controlado" . O jogo está disponível para Windows e Linux, mas os controles de cada jogador  podem ser acessados por navegadores de celular também . Além disso, o código-fonte do jogo também está disponível no GitHub (https://github.com/Artars/SeedForSpeed).

In English COCKATIELS ON  THE WHEEL!

Join your friends and try to control a car on a police chase. One detail: ALL THE PLAYERS ARE COCKATIELS! Each player can only scream and get part of the car's control. So combine your actions, escape the police and scream like a true cockatiel!

• Multiplayer on Browser: let the game running on PC and the players can join by openning an web page.  So, the game allow A LOT ot players!
• Every Car for himself: the players are divided in cars. The camera follows the lead car. Who stay behind get caught by the police. The last team free wins.
• Keep Screaming and Nobody gets Caught: every team member is get part of the control (like turn right, turn left, accelerate or scream). Combine everyone moves to win!

Seed for Speed  was made on 2019 for the 22th Semcomp Game Jam, under the theme "controlled out of control" and is available for Windows and Linux, but the player can also join the match by Browsers in cell phones too. The source code is also available on GitHub (https://github.com/Artars/SeedForSpeed).

Como jogar

Execute o jogo no computador principal. Outros dispositivos, conectados na mesma rede, podem se conectar ao jogando usando um navegador e entrando no link happyfuntimes.net. Jogadores utilizando um computador podem utilizar as teclas "Z" e "X" para os botões. Jogadores usando dispositivos com suporte a toque podem clicar nos botões.

Após todos os jogadores entrarem no jogo, um jogador com as chaves pode começar o jogo. Os jogadores serão colocados em carros com capacidade para 4 membros.

As partidas tem suporte de 2 até 20 jogadores.

How to play

Run the game in the main computer. Other devices, connected to the same network, can connect to the game using any browser and acessing the website happyfuntimes.net. If you are using a computer, you can press the buttons "Z" and "X". If you are using a "touch able" device, you can touch the buttons.

When every player has joined, the player with the keys can start the game. The players will be assigned to cars in groups of 4.

The match can have between 2 to 20 players.
