Segment: Battle and Time

Michael Time is a hero who set out on a journey to defeat a powerful monster in his lair, however, things quickly go wrong when he is stuck in a time loop against said monster. Unbeknownst to Michael, there may be an explanation...

In this game, you go through various phases and levels fighting the same monster, however, each time, the attack patterns improve. If you get through all the phases, there may an explanation. What can I say? I cannot make a game without convoluted lore.
