SHARED ROOTS - Wisdom of the Stones

In SHARED ROOTS: The Wisdom of the Stones the player helps a young woman overcome the problems that best her and lay down roots in a new land. At the Rollright stones, a six-thousand year-old stone circle in the English Midlands, a friendly local woman shows our trveller to tune into the wisdom of her ancestors by connecting to the ancient wisdom contained in the stones. To access this wisdom, she must solve a series of puzzles set by the stones. Through the game the player learns more about the troubles that face our heroine in the struggle to put her past behind her, lay down roots, and connect with her own. SHARED ROOTS: The Wisdom of the Stones is inspired my mental health and migration crises and the magic of ancient monuments. 

SHARED ROOTS: The Wisdom of the Stones is a 2.5D isometric puzzle game that allows for a simple, refined art style and a bespoke score written for the project. By manipulating the stones players solve puzzles to recieve the wisdom of the stones. 

Be sure to play the game with the volume up as sound is an important feature of gameplay!
