Short Circuit (Dylan Coats)

When I saw the theme of the ZenoJam, "It Never Ends," my initial thought was some sort of endless runner game.  However I wanted to turn the theme into a mechanic, and so I thought of the idea of uncontrollable shooting from the player.  Thus we have Short Circuit, a top-down puzzle game starring Commodos the Computer, where you must dodge your own blasts of electricity to make it to the end of the game.  Your electricity bounces of metal walls, but is absorbed by rubber, making this a game where you must pre-plan your moves and act quickly when you make them.

Controls:

WASD to Move

Commodos will shoot electricity forward every couple of seconds

Pink Rubber Walls and blocks absorb electricity

Metal Walls bounce your shots back at you

Two shots of electricity cancel each other out

Green Switches destroy breakable walls

Grab keys and take them to the keyhole block to open the teleporter

Get to the Teleporter to proceed to the next level
