Sid Meier's Colonization (Classic) reviews

An absolute Old-school pearl. Colonization, despite its Pixeloptic, is still very playable without the fact that you get Eye Cancer directly. For example, I just play this in the Window, then everything is good. Steam has packed the Game into ne DosBox, so no further Adjustments are needed to play. The Game exudes its own unique Charm through the retro Music and Optics and Is still very demanding and by the way you also learn something. I play Col. In fact, always on the lightest Difficulty and sometimes even have Problems where others would probably laugh at each other broken, but that's exactly what I like about the Game. You have Time and you can play, build, act, loot and fight Indians in Peace. If you are into the old Civilization's, you can access here without hesitation, because the Game principle is very similar, just in the "New World" Setting. The few Euros that it still costs now is worth it:)

So also have to add my Mustard. I want to make more such Games the Hours over Hours fun and you have so many ways to go. Yes the Graphics are not present but honestly in spite of all this I like to play the game again and again, because it has what I expect from a Dread-based Strategy game when I look at the Successors as well as the Civ series where I am simply clipped with everything fun Makes. I can only say I played the Game on the C64 and A500 and also got the Direct Competition. It remains this Game is unique this Game has earned a Remake but only an Honorable Remake does not as well as some Remakes where you prefer to shoot The Developers on the Moon. This Game remains lonely Spike who says what else is already too influenced By the Game industry graphics is not All Story and Fun these are the Things that Are important to Zockers and should be because these Ephemera you can really smear yourself into the Harre. We want Games with Content and Fun and that has a Lot of Game.

Very clear Buy recommendation. For the younger Players who did not go to the publication at that time (last Century;-)) The Title of this Game, I must make it quite clear: The Graphics take enormous getting used to in view of the large Monitors or Flat screens. I, too, have had to get used to it. Basically, it's kept similar to Civilization, but with a Dose of Trade Simulation and plenty of diplomatic Influences. In other Words, you have to make a lot of decisions. Which Type of Settler takes on which Task. I Make friends with the Indigenous People, or I plunder the Villages. Do I Accept taxation or can I cope with restricted Trade. And so on and so forth ... Why I decided to buy this Game again ... Well, it's just always Fun, because you have so many Ways to make every Game different again and again. There is little comparable and definitely worth the Price. It has an immensely high Addictive Factor, which has become quite rare. Keep in mind though, this Game came out in the Early Days of Game Development and it should be clearly taken into account the Graphics back then was not a fullHD!
