About

SLG Remix is an alternate PC version of the brand new 16-bit horror visual novel/adventure Mega Drive game Sacred Line Genesis.

1812 Productions presents the new version of the game made for the evolved generation of Steam gamers. Packed with the most wanted feature every modern PC gamer wants to experience in its most primal form - trading cards crafting.

You are playing as Ellen, a private detective living in eastern Europe. Lately, her business has not been going well, which leads her to the decision of closing the office. But on the last day of work, an eerily familiar yet anonymous voice calls her by phone and asks her to inspect a hidden forest outpost. Intrigued, Ellen leaves for the case she could only find in her worst nightmares...Remix Version Features / Differences
  • The new version is entirely kinetic and features Normal ending only (all choices, battles, bad endings and Secret ending have been removed)
  • Completely different engine with a completely different GUI
  • Save / Load system with multiple slots
  • Higher resolution graphics: original 576p stillshots vs. Genesis compressed 240p ones
  • HQ soundtrack: uncompressed original tracks and new tunes which were removed from the original game due to ROM size limit
  • Cartridges are for dinosaurs! Craft virtual badges like nobody's business and pay real money for the .png pictures to feature them on your profile and make your Steam friends proud of you

SLG Remix reviews and comments

Another title that goes straight to the Pantheon of the dung and other videogame stews! Pay for it??? I call it a scam!! Having played the original I confirmed that this is an atomic dung! A "remix" of the original? Ha... Already we can't qualify this game crap. It boils down to blabla well boring more course than the original in a tiny window!! Not even in full screen and icing on the cake a menu with dummy options that serves nothing except for the decoration that allows to save, load, hide messages (??) and even skip the dialogues! The good joke!! This dung boils down to click, read, click etc. Not even 10min of clicks is over! Even less with the "Skip" save what? Load what? At least in the original we were in full screen on TV (even now in emulation) and we could choose our way, our actions we could "explore". there? BA simply this is gone! Click, read, click... In short, at the time it was a game. There we have a dung without interest...

I do not understand the interest of this "sacred line Genesis remix"... Really, it sucks, do not even try it!! When I read the evaluations, I thought that maybe it wasn't that bad... But actually so!! From what I understood, sacred line was a game released on Sega Genesis (mega drive so) in... 2015 In short, at the base, it is a "real game" I believe, with choices to make, possibilities to die and have a game over surely; but still in the "Visual novel" style... Here it is a version adapted for steam, but strangely, nothing has visibly been improved. This sacred line Genesis remix has no INTERACTION with the player!! Zero choices, zero gameplay, zero commands. Only the left click to advance the "game". Everything was removed from the original. Thus, the "game" is only a sequence of images with a frame where text appears to narrate a story quite... Special. Indeed, nothing so logical, it's more like a kind of dream/nightmare with a pseudo story of demonic sect. Frankly, I thought there would be something interesting behind all this, but actually no... The duration of the "game" is far too short (15 to 20 min) to develop something concrete and well formed, and each element is rather badly brought (suddenly the heroine finds his sister, who was dead, but in fact she came back thanks to the resurrection of the sect , which in fact...). It's not logical and not interesting... Also, it is meant "horrific" but nothing scares or shudder, because the rhythm is slow and the images not realistic enough to surprise. Since there is no interaction, there is no reason to be afraid or to be surprised. And then it is not by putting blood and skeletons that we are afraid. The only point not too bad is the music. It's just 4 or 5 ambiance music that pose a rather strange atmosphere (there's even one that reminded me of Silent Hill 2). They only go wrong because one is cut and the other begins. All of a sudden. Finally, maybe the original sacred line is fine, but this Portage is very far from successful. How to think about making a game by removing everything that makes a game? I do not usually do not advise anything, but there I see no reason to buy SLG remix. Even out of curiosity (what I did thanks to a coupon), it is better to pass by this "game". At the limit, you can watch a video on YouTube... The experience is the same as one "plays" or not, then no reason to buy it... PS: and in addition, it ends in water of sausage...
