Slippery Drifter

A game by Scout Megyesi and Abe Yates.

Made completely in Java with no external libraries over the course of 48 hours for the GMTK 2020 game jam.                                                                                                             See some short footage here -->

Switch in and out of control using the two different modes:

Blue- allows you to alter your trajectory

Red- allows you to hit and bounce off of enemies. The cooldown resets immediately on any landed hit!!!

Your score will go up based on your speed when you hit an enemy, and will also make your combo go up!

The higher your combo is the shorter the time it takes for it to decrease automatically, so play quickly for a higher score.

Obtain health pickups either by running into them or hitting them.

Spikes will kill you instantly, but luckily you can bounce off them.

Royalty free music is "All Time High Jump" by TechnoAxe.
