SnakeBackwards

At the Global Game Jam in February of 2012, our prompt was simply the image of an Ouroboros.

Well, our team decided to take the prompt as literally as possible by making a backwards version of the classic game of Snake!

How to play!

Move with the arrow keys or WASD. Blue snails make you grow and red snails make you shrink.

At the start of the game, you must eat your own tail. Any of the red segments towards the end are edible.

Once you're so short you can't reach your tail anymore, things switch around to a normal game of snake and the game speeds up a little.

Once you've reached a certain length, it switches back to tail-eater mode. This maximum length gets longer every time.
