Snakebird is a good puzzle game that follows the ideal criteria of a game of the genre, namely an easily understandable and original concept, very readable and soothing graphics and a universe, and well-designed levels of simple but diabolical appearance.
The pitch of the game is simple: Snake, the old video game concept where you run a snake that grows every time it eats a fruit, plus gravity and a puzzle game goal. In each level, this is to eat all the fruits (if any) and to guide one or more snakebirds towards the exit point.
In practice, the game resembles a game of puzzles very classic, sleek, simple to control, where one unlocks access to the following puzzles from a map (which allows to play in the disorder in case of blocking), but as much say it immediately: the game is really tr and is aimed primarily at the buffa of the puzzle game. We are not at all here in a nice game that is played in "autopilot" to relax, but in a game where one can stay long stuck in the same level, and where it is better to have a solid experience of the genre.
This difficulty is both a quality and a defect: on the one hand, it obviously makes the game memorable and interesting (I have feted), but on the other, it is not very well managed here, the puzzles are not very progressive and some principles yet fundamental principles being unclear. The game also gives few catches: as soon as you have to run several snakebirds or you have to push blocks or congeners (which is actually the main mechanics of the game, more than eating fruit), the combinatorial quickly becomes huge and you feel a little lost without knowing where to start, the game can quite easily discourage or frustrate.
In the end, the game is good, but the concept is not so original (we push blocks, first of all), the levels are few (fifty), the universe lacks personality, the action is slow and a little repetitive, and above all, the difficulty is not very well Controlled.
However, I recommend Snakebird at low prices for amateurs, even if it is far from the classics like Catrap, fire ' n ice or adventure of Lolo, or, more recently at Nintendo, of Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the move [simbabbad.blogspot.com] or the series of
Pullblox [simbabbad.blogspot.com].
(my time spent on the game is much less than what says steam, I usually let some games run in windowed mode by doing something else)

Don't let snakebird's charming graphics fool you: this is one of the most challenging puzzle games out there. A beautifully designed game with almost no filler, just brain-twisting revelations and pure, super fun puzzles. Combine that with a beautiful presentation and you have an instant classic. Highly recommended.

I never really write reviews, but this game is SO good, there it has to be.
If you're into thinking games, at a fair price (about as much as a BigMac) you get a lot of RTSELSPA. The later levels are sometimes very difficult, but all are solvable, even if you sometimes need more than one start and have to think and try for a longer time.

Really great, defamatory and very lovingly designed puzzle game.
Unfortunately, I can not understand all the negative reviews that say it's too difficult. For me, that's exactly what makes the charm. I have a grin on my face every time seemingly simple levels suddenly seem impossible. And the greater the joy, if one finally finds the solution for them. : D
Those who give up on the second level have lost control of their lives. ;)

I strongly advice against purchasing this game unless you do not mind throwing money out the window. I encountered a problem where I can not load the app and play the game, and this company's customer service is non-existant.
While the free game version worked for me, immediately after purchasing the full game the app freezed on loading screen and shut down. Neither reinstalling the app, updating the os or restarting the iPad fixes this problem.
I e-mailed the company behind this abomination of an app about my problem 3 weeks ago, and I have gotten neither a reply nor a refund. I have never encountered a similar problem with any other apps.
While the game itself looks good, if you are unlucky like me and encounters this problem rendering the game unplayable, do not expect to get your problem fixed any time soon; or your money back.
Stear clear from this app!
If you absolutely must get this game, buy the steam version for computer.
