Sneakers and an Oversized Hoodie

Sneakers and an Oversized Hoodie is a 2D platformer about a young Afro Latino boy who must travel upwards through a series of platforms while dodging and jumping over obstacles. 

As the player ascends, it becomes more and more  apparent – through sound, music and gameplay – that the young boy is going to heaven. The highlights both the Black and Latino communities through art (magical realism) and music (choir/gospel music), as well as addressing the issue of police brutality against African Americans.
