Solar Surfer (SodaPOP67)

Made for GMTK Jam 2020! the theme for this jam was "OUT OF CONTROL" so i made a game where you fly a ship and you can't control when you accelerate, you've gotta wait for the solar flares to hit your sails

select to go fullscreen

bumpers to zoom in/out

start to zoom wayyyy out

I had a lot of fun making this :) especially naming all the planets. if you like it please check out my other games i've posted!

extra details:

there are 40 planets in total! if you get lost press start to zoom way out and look for a planet you haven't visited! when you've visited half of the planets, you'll get an arrow that will guide you towards planets you haven't visited yet. There's nothing random in the game, but that doesn't mean its predictable! Flares come out from suns on a long loop, and comets are pulled towards the nearest sun or black hole.
