About

Solo is an introspective puzzler set on a gorgeous and surreal archipelago. Reflect on your loving relationships by exploring contemplative, dream-like islands. Solo is a game about love. About love as fuel, the force that drives us. It is a universal feeling, but each of us experiences it in a different way. Individually, it holds different meanings depending on a variety of factors such as culture, gender, sexuality or traumas. That's why Solo will explore this theme in an introspective way, to have the players identify and reflect on their own experiences. Reflect on love’s place in your life with a personal and introspective branching narrative. Combine blocks with different properties offering multiple solutions for most puzzles. Contemplate and explore a living world: take photos of the charming, colorful islands amidst tranquil tunes or play the guitar for cute creatures. The world is divided into archipelagos, and each archipelago is formed by small islands. Each island represents a unique puzzle the sailor will have to solve before getting to the Sleeping Totems and awakening them to answer a question about love and relationships. Using boxes, each with different properties and behaviors, the sailors can build their own paths to the Sleeping Totems on each island. As love does, most puzzles have no unique solution. Nature and contemplation are also a huge part of Solo: pull out your camera and capture the moment, play the guitar, feed the animals or just sit on a bench and think. Solo was successfully funded on Fig by 543 backers who could both pledge and invest during the Fig campaign.

Solo reviews and comments

Product received for free is Just a puzzle and exploration game whose engine is Love, which pushes this world full of colors and subtleties. Visually Impeccable, with excellent mechanics and introspective dynamics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM8W01-CxWY More analysis and criticism here If there is something that we can immediately say of Solo, is that its theme is very striking. Basically, he tries to bring the player to a deep reflection on his sentimental situation-current or past-and the relationship with the people who marked his life. Too thoughtful perhaps? It's probable, but for some reason it works. Perhaps because of the pleasantness of its design, aesthetics, or subtle and tranquil music. As for mechanics, it is a classic puzzle game, with some hints of platform and exploration. The objective will be to unlock a series of islands that represent the different stages in a sentimental relationship. During The trip we also find a series of characters and memories that will make us think about the past and all the things that could be and were not. Or in the joy of having finally found true love. Very Cheesy, right? That idea will pass several times in our mind while playing Alone, but also have to say that is an excellent game thinking about the gameplay. Of Course It is not a game for everyone, its theme and particular pace away from the public addicted to speed or adrenaline. However, those who enjoy puzzle games and have no problem rethinking their feelings, will feel that they finally made a game for them. Because The idea of this independent game is just that, provoke something in the player that until now almost no game was encouraged to question. We recommend It for this bravery and for the mastery of its design.

Product received for free Solo-review There Are Many games that allude to love or relationships, but certainly none project such a degree of fidelity as it does Alone. Not everyone comes to deliver such a level of consideration. Team Gotham proves, once again, that it is above the usual average. The World of video games requires more proposals of this caliber, intimate, that dare to touch the fibers more reserved. For this reason, the independent scene is constantly evolving, and this opens the door to a world of possibilities, with less generic and riskier projects. New ways to tell stories and a supernatural growth in how to conceptualize the gameplay. Alone, it is a clear sample of all that is well in this medium, not everything goes only by the fantasy, reality still has much to be delivered and what better way to do it than to create a totally balanced ecosystem. Perhaps, in what is playable, it is not a challenge, as in other genre titles. Perhaps the Puzzles are simplistic or the progression feels somewhat repetitive, but that is only a small stone in a prolonged field of pure effectiveness. The potential of Solo is not at The naked eye. The true magic is hidden in the correct affinity of his words, the textual notes, the dialogues, that so careful narrative that is naturally linked to the stage. In Short, it is only a game that works best as a set, because it feeds thoroughly of various factors. From The delicate sound band that accompanies the environmental methodology of its Puzzles, to the conditioned interaction with the stage and its characters. By Gathering all these sections we get a thoughtful journey to which it is difficult to say no. In Short, I recommend the new Team Gotham for what it means as an artistic medium, is the purest definition of art with an enviable narrative development. Positive Points * A story that is followed with interest. * Deep and thoughtful, like looking in front of a mirror. * In The visual it looks really good. * The use of the guitar and how it affects the stage is just great. * A lovely sounding band. * Some Puzzles are brilliant. Negative Points * While others pass something unnoticed. * Progression can become monotonous. To read the complete analysis proceed to the following link: PC Indie Master Race [pcindiemrace.com]
