About

SoundStage is a virtual reality music sandbox built specifically for room-scale VR. Whether you’re a professional DJ creating a new sound, or a hobbyist who wants to rock out on virtual drums, SoundStage gives you a diverse toolset to express yourself.

If you look at old rock concerts, you’ll see these HUGE synthesizers that the musicians connect together to make electronic sounds. These instruments are literally enveloping the player. SoundStage attempts to capture the feel of those epic music machines then take it to the next level with tools only possible in a virtual environment. All in a world inspired by the airbrush paintings and computer graphics of the 80s.

Hook up your sounds to the electro-maracas, drive your keyboard with a 3D theremin, and get ready to jam in your VR SoundStage.

SoundStage reviews and comments

Early access review first criticism written on steam for my part... ! I wanted to pass this course to say all the good that I think of this game:-it really does not cost much-often updated-very pro and ambitious-well designed and packed with good ideas obviously the game/application/software is not yet complete , but in the State it already allows a potential of several hundred hours. So music lovers, to your wallets, it's worth it, we must support this game/project which is the future of music production! A complete Studio at home!

Early Access Review Absolutely useless: No input in keyboard although it shows the various videotutorials (presumably subsequently removed) without this function it remains only a small playfulness and no serious music software, with which you can half only a song z Useable. My Conclusion: Fingers off if here really looks for a more visually appealing alternative to various Music Software ala flstudio etc. I am aware that you cannot compare them, but soundstage vr does not even have the Basic Functions and therefore remains only a small game. And flies up from my Library ...

excellent!!! An original idea that gives all its interest to VR. We can almost do his home Studio. When you see Softs costing a fortune and not worth this price. I can say that soundstage VR could be sold much more expensive considering the quality of the first draft! Everything is responsive and intuitive, plus the sound quality is more than present as long as you have a good headphones (the headphones of the Vive is not terrible!!!) I look forward to the next updates, hoping for the possibility: to add custom samples. Adding more items. Finer recording management. An audible metronome adding sets... BRAVO and good continuation!!!!

Early access review good music application for those who like to make small compositions. But from a certain length of pieces (or loops), it starts to become tedious I think. The sequencer interface, however, manages the scrolling to handle a long loop despite the limitations of a virtual space. So many things well thought out. At this stage of development, I regret the lack of samples of real instruments. However, you can add your own external samples. Nor have I found how to record in VR samples of less than 10s (eg: slap of the tongue that lasts only half a second) it is unfortunately quite difficult to play with the keyboard, the controllers sometimes bump into real life (one can still AG randir the size of the keyboard-well seen!) Recommend only for amateur musicians who want to do a little jam.
