Intense Single Player Campaign
- You start to work for Vector Securities as the tactical overwatch. You then start to unravel the motivations and extremes the company goes to for profit.
- Puzzle-like take down missions (take down all opponents in under N turns)
- Defense missions where you must survive incoming enemies while protecting a hostage
- Hostage saving where you must take down opponents before the hostage is executed
- Assassination missions where you must take out a specific target
- Escort missions where you must protect a hostage while completing an objective
- Stealth missions where you must eliminate the targets without them firing a shot
Epic 1 vs 1, 2 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 PvP
- Select your specific weapons for each class (i.e. Silenced AK47 for Assault, AWP for Sniper)
- Pick 4 soldier classes (i.e. 2 Snipers + 2 SMGs)
- Either plant the bomb or defuse
- Each match is done over a real-time connection with 50 secs per turn (simultaneous)
Addictive Survival Mode
- The bomb is planted in a random location each round
- Based on the location of the bomb, pick 4 soldier classes
- Defuse the bomb before it blows up while encountering enemies
- Complete the round challenge (i.e. use all Shields or kill 2 enemies with one sniper shot) for 2X points
- Each round enemies are smarter and higher in number
- Your run ends when you fail to defuse the bomb
5 main classes: Sniper, Shotgun, Assault, SMG, Shield
- Assault: Medium range, slow movement, large field of view, weak damage
- SMG: short range, fast movement, large field of view, high damage
- Shotgun: very short range, fast movement, large field of view, very high damage, splash damage

- Shield: fast movement, 50 degrees of coverage, can melee
Custom Weapons and Attachments
- Each weapon has its own strengths and weakness
- Silencers hide your position when firing but have decreased damage and/or range
- Foregrips allow for higher fire rate but slower time to first shot
- Sights allow for longer range but smaller field of view
- Weapons are unlocked through Gold earned through Multiplayer and Survival
4 Boosters: Armor, Range, Damage, Speed
- Select one booster per turn to give to a soldier... Choose wisely
6 Equipment: Smoke, Frag, Flash, Fire/Incendiary, Sonar Detector, Throwing Axe
- You get 2 each per game in which any soldier can throw them
- Smoke can change the battlefield in significant ways by blocking line of sight
- Flash can blind and stun multiple soldiers
- Frags are used for focused splash damage
- Fire can slow and block movement paths
- Sonar can detect enemies within a radius through walls
- Throwing Axe requires precision aim but is very lethal

Innovative Controls

Game is dead!!!
I told the dev very often that the game have no content and it is much too simple. Look at Frozen Synapse or Lethal Tactics: There you have so many tactical options (too much to explain all here).
But in Special Tactics you have only some maps (and many small very worse maps). And only 1 gamemode is a bad joke. Bomb defusing is very boring,all the time the same like "rush to the bomb so fast as possible".
You see very well that the dev is a counterstrike-fan. Gameplay in Special Tactics is like counterstrike from above. But the game have no good tactical and different gameplay.... only the sh.. bombing-rush.
Lethal Tactics is much more better,you find a lot of players online too. There you can give for example complex orders
like: Go in crouch position behind cover for 2 sec. ,then stand up and sprint to next position and destroy the door ect.
The options/orders system is very complex and give you numberless tactics. In Special Tactics you have ony laughable few tactical option like go there,look there ect.
But the dev will every time cancel my thread in the forum because he will not read the true: GAME IS DEAD, TOO SIMPLE,VERY LOW CONTENT (gamemodes,tactical options to play,maps ect,).
Game have had potential,but now too late. And the dev will not understand that the game is not good enough (i told to him so often in the early access that the game needs more gamemodes,maps ect).
And now you see the result !!! Game is dead and when the dev will release some more things in the future.....

Lethal Tactics is a very barsh Frozen Synapse-copy and the devs will ban you suddenly from the forum when you compare the game with Frozen Synapse or DoorKickers (Not only me,another guy banned too because he write something about DorrKickers).
But the game is very great and you find a lot of players online. For me the real devs are the devs from Frozen Synapse.
Very barsh to copy the gameplay 1:1 from another game,only some soldier abilities and grafics changed,thats all.
But ok..... i will play games because the fun. And with Lethal Tactics you will have a lot of fun when you like complex tactical games (and not such a poor simple gameplay like in Special Tactics).
Play Lethal Tactics ,Frozen Synapse (no playerbase in the game,Lethal Tactics is like the "new" Frozen Synapse) or DoorKickers (only single-player) and you will see the very big different how simple and boring Special Tactics is.
When you like to play online against real humans and like complex tactic to play.... play Lethal Tactics.
Special Tactics is too simple with very low content and i told it to the dev the game will be died very soon. Yes,you see now exact the result of the worse quality !
And i dont think Special tactics will ever build to a good tactical game!!!
