Corrupted files (the red ones) and Bugs can drop free Bytes when destroyed. Reallocate them for your weapons! Defeat the Boss of each Partition to advance to the next.
Be warned! Your script only begins with access to one Byte, and you have one life bar and 1KB of space for weapons!
