STAR GUARD is a minimalist platformer. when the first seeds of the idea were planted, i went through a strange period of time during which i repeatedly searched the internet for it, simultaneously knowing it didn't exist.
i began STAR GUARD as a student. a labor of love, i worked on it around my schoolwork over a period of 16 months, and released the game in 2009. STAR GUARD was selected as an IGF design finalist in 2010.
STAR GUARD has a rather different focus than much of what i'm making today; it's a much more goal oriented, traditional project. that said, i still have a lot of love for it, and think it's an interesting reference point in terms of my current body of work.
