Star Wars: Dark Forces reviews

Even once you get used to the old school shooter style (fast movement, no reloading, a lot of auto-aim, open spaces, finding keys to open doors), I find it hard to enjoy a game like this. Too much of the game really boils down to moving into a space, shooting the same three or so enemies, finding where you can leave that space (sometimes hidden in the geography, which is pointless), enter a new space and repeat. There are occasionally some non-puzzles that at least change up the pacing, but they're few and far between.

Super Game even if it's already older. Above All, it's a good Gap Filler at lunch break. If you want a More modern Control system, I can only recommend DarkXL.

Graphically totally mies. But just a Cult Game In front of the Gentlemen. If you don't know it, you shouldn't spend money on it and leave your Fingers off. All those who have played it before, I highly recommend it to them.

Nostalgieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Lelt flawless under Win 10 is insanely fun and reminiscent of OLD DOS Times where one thought my Fresco looks all this real;) Must confess after the second level I had to take a Break as my Head glowed through the Somewhat old Textures ^^ soundtrack is Class, Gameplay is Class ... Back to Childhood!

An ancient Classic that reminds you of times when Doom was still hailed as an advanced, new Game. This is where the fateful Story of Kyle Katarn, making his first Appearance in Dark forces, begins. For the Rebels, he handles all kinds of Missions. For the witty Soundtrack alone, which consists of Star Wars themes that have been turned into early Computer Music, it's worth buying the Game. In the Sale, the Jedi Knight Pack, which also includes Dark Forces, is very cheap to have. Classics-Status for PC-Players and Star Wars-Fans. Running Windows 8, despite its old Age, flawless

Dark forces is Doom with Star Wars as topping. The Game is really fun, although it doesn't look good anymore and you could really despair on some Missions. We play an Ex-Imperial Rebel Tasked with stopping the Training of the Dark Troopers. The Game is set immediately before the Events of Episode 4. The Game has 14 Missions that are 15-20 Minutes long, so you're through in 4 Hours. But you could also Finish the Game faster, but the Maps are confusing and winding, so I even had to look for Solutions on YouTube. Although the Game has its Quirks like that, it's really Good and I can recommend it to anyone.

Biggest Scam on the Part of Steam since Christmas. None of the Star Wars Jedi Knight games work when you buy them from Steam. You can fight your way through community fixes for hours but even that doesn't help. And the Games don't run with current Graphics Cards or just don't even want to load the first Level. For this I buy the Game in Principle for the second Time I expect a corresponding Consideration. And deliver a Product that just doesn't work and stifles Minimum Standards is totally medieval and mendacious. Consumer Protection Must finally resort to Software. This cannot go any further. PS: Let alone that you would have normal Mouse + keyboard controls.

If someone made a Star Wars mod for Doom, it would look a lot like this. It's not the actual Doom engine of course and there are some advancements (jumping, usable items) but for the most part it plays pretty similarly. The levels aren't as well designed but have some interesting aspects to them like (minor) puzzles and actual objectives. Because it's not a straight run-and-gun experience it's not exactly the same, but if you enjoy the original Doom gameplay and like Star Wars this will provide a refreshing change of pace.
