Starcom: Nexus reviews

UI kills the game.

Controller button mapping is horrid and overlaps text options that hide an even worse user interface.

Early Access Review The first Hour was extremely linear. In total, I visited five Systems, all were connected by Jump Nodes and each System had only one (or one Input and one Exit) ... As a result, you jumped from System 1 to 2 to 4 to 5 and when you had to go back (and YES you have to go back and back every now and then ...) it went back the same Way. In System 4 or 5, they then set up a "Fast Travel Point," which allowed you to travel from 5 to 1 and back again, saving you some Time on the Return Journey. But overall, the Ship's Movements were too slow and the Distances too wide, which made everything drag on artificially. With System 4 (before the Fast Travel Point) there was a tougher Opponent, so I had to go back to 1 to upgrade the Ship. But Because I grinned too little, after 5 Minutes of return Flight I was only able to grow one Module and was allowed back. The Tasks were about as exciting ... "Create Resources and science point so you can build a bigger Ship so you can collect more so ...," you understand. The Graphics are beautiful, the Scaling strange but there is simply too little to do in this first Part and the Freedom of a space title is not given. Maybe it would get better later, but I don't let it matter. A Lot of Potential, but the EA title has to prove that it wants to become something that is not a "rouge-like-in-space" and that is it at the moment. Currently worth a maximum of 5 Euros and no better than a mobile game. There are better Alternatives.

Early Access Review I bought this Game based on the Videos. My Impression * was *: Wow! Funny ball around and you can really mop up the Ship really nicely. Unfortunately, this was not the Case: You start with a tiny, ridiculous nutshell. Then you have to fly from Planet to Planet and keep Collecting raw Materials and "Research Points". Is quite frustrating at the Beginning as you just fly around and not much happens. After some Time you have upgraded your Ship to something, so that you can call it a Ship and the Dogfights are also a bit Fun, because you are not slaughtered immediately every time. The Degree of difficulty is different: Some Aliens can simply "put down" and others are equipped with something unfairly strong towards your own Armament, so that you can just blow off ... Anyway-none of this is why I don't have a Buck on this Game anymore. The Reason is: I only played 8 Hours and, according to Steam, I already "explored" 47% of the Game. So far so good: Then there should be at least as many Solar Systems and Planets to discover as I already have on the Map. Far from it: Explore all Planets and collect all Resources. I also eliminated the opponents as good as all of them. It is not recognizable to me what I should do now on the Map. Early Access? NO: I HABE SO LANGSAM MAL DIE SCHNAUZE VOLL OF SPIELEN THE ONLY HALB FERTIG ARE ODER IN THE MAN BEZAHLEN MUST WEITERZUKOMMEN. Dear Developers: LASST THE SCHEISS! HÖRT ON WITH EARLY ACCESS AND HALBFERTIGEN SPIELEN. Basta.
