About

Stardust

A game made in 11 days with GB Studio for GBJam 9 - playable in browser or on your favourite handheld (or on another handheld with an emulator)!

In the distant future, humanity has squandered the Earth's resources. A lone pilot is hauling a valuable cargo to a new home in the galaxy when disaster strikes...

The game is effectively a demo of a potentially larger game - I guess the question is whether this should be turned into a final game?

Features:

  1. Fight evil aliens!
  2. Collect power crystals (there are 5 to be found in the game)!
  3. Interact with computers!
  4. Smash barrels!
  5. Reboot the hyperdrive!
  6. SAVE THE KNOWN UNIVERSE!!!
Issues:

I am aware of a couple of bugs/issues that I haven't been able to resolve as part of the jam - I need to dig a bit deeper into GB Studio to sort these out - something for post-jam!

  1. Accessing the menu will respawn enemies when closed - I advise not using the menu in screens where there are enemies!
  2. Collisions are slightly off - if you are directly to the right of an enemy you can get hit.
Controls:
  • D-pad to move
  • A to interact with stuff (e.g. computer terminals)  - not implemented yet
  • B to attack (once you have found a weapon...)
  • Start to open menu/map screen
Web Desktop Controls:
  • Arrow keys to move
  • Z key = A
  • X key = B
  • Enter = Start
Collaborators:

  2. Music/SFX By: Adam Audio (https://adamsaunders.itch.io/)
