Starship Cinematics and Controller Demo
About
This is a demonstration of proficiency with Unity 2021 set in a space theme.
Specific use-cases demonstrated:
- Cinematic sequences with Cinemachine, Timeline, Virtual Cameras, and Post-Processing
- Timeline controlled animations of non-player controlled ships as background activity
- Player controller code written using legacy Unity input system for spaceship flight with mouse and keyboard input
- Use of third party assets - models, shaders, effects
- Setup, layout, and placement of game objects for a playable scene
- Unity Physics system used for starship thrust
- Basic UI implementation
Controls:
- Mouse - Yaw and Pitch (Y-Axis is inverted)
- W & S - Forward/Reverse thrust
- A & D - Roll
- Shift - Boost thruster
- Tab - Change point-of-view
- ESC - Exit application
