About

Stay Close is an experimental indie game with unseen and unique gameplay. The story centers on an unfortunate couple who stumble upon a mysterious town and struggle to find their way out. There are two alternatives to the story depending if single player or co-op mode is played.

What Would You Do In their Situation?

Players will have the opportunity to:
  • 1. Survive against unsettling creatures in a rough environment.
  • 2. Explore the story with an interesting character who will test your thinking abilities and judge if you're worthy of proceeding forward.
  • 3. Protecting your friend and trying to survive in co-op mode.

I have to say, the Game is nowhere near what I imagined after weeks of waiting. The Trailer is also, I find, not what the Game gives. The "Monsters" are exactly 2 Creatures that must either shine with the Light on, or bypass in the Dark. The Puzzles in between are the Freshest thing about the Game. The Levels increase slightly from the Level of Difficulty, but are fair, as are the Puzzles. With VR, the whole thing could gruse a lot more and create even denser Atmosphere. For me, after 2 Hours of Playing Through and hardly any tangible Sense behind it all, it is not a Buy recommendation. Pros: Price (at a Discount at Present) Co-op function Cons: Game Mechanics no Variety graphic Misdirection by Trailer

My Conclusion to Stay Close---------------------------Stay Close is an Indie Experiment. We wake up alone (Single Player) or with our Partner (Co-op), in a dark Alley. We find a Message where it says that we should go to a Bar where a certain Cyrus is waiting for us. We need to find a Compass for Cyrus so he then tells us how to escape from this City. Unfortunately, it turns out that we are not alone in this City and there is something waiting in the Shade that we should have better not arouse. Graphic 7/10-Light Level at night, are realistic and came across well. Story 5/10-Is very short and kept tight, it's only at the End that you learn more. Control 7/10 Control is like any other. W A S D Run and peek with Mouse. Atmosphere 8/10 Horror was present with me and you can see that in the Video. The Game I would recommend to others, but not to Full jump, because the Story is very short and there are too few Monsters and co. Are.

I was pointed out that my first Review was relatively shit in terms of content, so I try to put it again and hope that this time it has become more of a Review:) I find that "Stay Close" is a Horror Game, which deserves its Name. It has a very good horror atmosphere, as well as some Jump-scares. We were very frightened in some Places. The Graphics are nicely done, even with Details, but are of course not comparable to AAA Titles, which is quite logical considering the Price of the Game. Gameplay technically, it's unlike any Horror Game I've played so far. It's a nice Change between Puzzles to solve, as well as hiding and sneaking past Monsters. While both the Puzzles and the Monster have been very careful to ensure that it is difficult, but still designed fairly and you definitely have a Chance to find the Solution. Multiplayer mode works without Any problems and except for a few smaller Bugs and Graphics Glitches, there's actually nothing that would limit the Fun of the Game. In the Time I spent with a Buddy together in the Game, we had a Lot of Fun and Horror And I can recommend this Game to any Horror and puzzle fan.
