Strange Night reviews

The Game was a small Surprise, is not too short and not too long, combines the gameplays of current Horror Hits like FNaF or PT right and keeps one or the other Shocker ready. The Price is mMn a bit too high, but OK if you want to support the Developer and want to see more Games from him.

This Game didn't even begin to shock anyone ... Maybe in the first half Hour but after that the not wanting to stop ' ' jUMPSCARES ' ' will get boring, because they have exactly the same Animation over and over again and only repeat themselves in different Places:/ Towards the End, things became interesting for a moment, because a different Jumpscare Came than usual. I wouldn't spend £10 on this Game ... Maybe if it was free ...

"Strange Night" is a First-Person horror game. We are a Security Worker and-why-we need to monitor an Interior Corridor with a few Doors. Depending on the Game moment, we can either lush through the Corridor or switch through five Security Cameras on a Monitor. Foolishly, after a short Time, disturbing Things begin. The Alarm goes off and we have to turn it off again, Handprints become visible on the Walls or a Shape can be seen on the Monitor. Slowly, the Lights also start to flicker and fall out, so that we can only be on the road with a Flashlight. In itself, the Game strikes a oppressive Poltergeist atmosphere quite well. Sound and Graphics are also simple, but appropriate. The Horror is slowly being increased. But What Completely destroys the Immersion are the strange Sections of the game that have been scripted through without us being able to influence anything. The first Cut in which we fall asleep in front of the Monitor may still be quite nice, but that we then hang 60% of the game incapacitated in front of the Monitor, can no longer walk and only turn through the five cameras, is absurdly idiotic and just bad Game Design. In Addition, Switching Through does not have an Impact, as in FNAF. No matter what we do, the Gamescript just runs independently. That kills every Atmosphere. It May be even fobbled that, if we can run like a Big Daddy, progress in Slow motion, or that 50% of the Doors in the Corridor cannot be opened at all. That after a short Time, however, we have the Impression that we do not belong to the Game ourselves, but only see a Script Expiring, destroys so much fun that one only hopes for the End, which then thankfully also after 40 Minutes. Finally, it happens. And then some very nice horror moments help nothing more. Rating: 7/10 Atmosphere 3/10 Story 6/10 Graphic 6/10 Sound 4/10 Game Mechanics 2/10 Balancing 5/10 gameplay Conclusion: Horror that doesn't concern you anything. 5/10 Overall Rating
