Stray Particles

A 2-day game for the Game Maker's Toolkit Jam 2020.
Theme: "Out Of Control".

Try preventing any stray particles from colliding with the hull for as long as you can. (There is no winning condition yet, for now it’s simply about lasting as long as possible!)

Align the spinning reticle at the bottom of the screen with the escaping particles to remove them, using a combination of tumbling and zooming in and out.
Hint: The base of the particle trails can be helpful when aligning the reticle with the particle trajectories.

Be careful not to spin the view too much, as it agitates the core and accelerates the stray particles!

Audio still missing, so it's a bit of a silent affair for now... :( 
Also, OS X build to follow as soon as the upload restrictions are lifted after the game jam voting period!
