What a Comeback. I was looking for both Street Legal Racing and successor Redline at the Time. Even if it was never patched quite stable.
At some Point while Searching for Mods, I came across the Mod Live v2.3.0. Then it was over, brought it out over and over again and spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours with it.
And a few Months ago, I wanted to play it again and then came across the Announcement of v2.3.1.
Every Day in the Forum we saw if there is something new and whether RAXAT (the Head behind this Project, as far as I could see from the Forum) had finally announced a Start Date.
And then on May 9, 2016, it was finally time. But it was really sobering, if I was Lucky, then it ran for a few Minutes without a crash, if it could be started at all.
But I have to say that a great deal has happened since that. Haven't had a Crash in the 14 Hours I spent with the Steam Version.
So to all those who still have Problems, have Gedult, it will be Already and I can tell you it is worth it!!!
I've never played any comparable Racing Game. Here you can tune down to the smallest Detail, only an Engine consists of many Individual Parts, which you can also replace and sometimes even finely vote.
Of course, the Graphics have come in the Years that Game is from 2003!!! So please don't expect an NFS Graphic. Driving Physics is certainly not Groundbreaking either, but if you get down on the Title and don't let the graphics put you off, you'll get the best Racing Game Kit there has been so far.
So very clear Buy recommendation!

So bad, you must have played that ...
The Graphics are far from up-to-date, in addition, the Game crashes so often, you don't know that from the Games nowadays and are more reminiscent of Games from earlier Times ... And there lies the Dog buried ... Because Street Legal Racing Redline came out back in 2003 and has now been re-released on Steam in 2016. Somewhat adapted to today's hardware and Software.
What's Going on in the Game?
-Start with 20000 Euro/Dollar/Buckazoids and buy a Used car. You can gradually ruffle this up in order to race a few illegal Races in the City and earn Money and Reputation in order to Ascend in a Ranking or to buy better and better new Cars. In addition, you can also take part in races on real Racetracks.
The real Appeal with the Game, however, lies in the virtual Screwing Of the Rum. This is done in a similar way to the "Car Mechanic Simulator" only that you have many more Choices when Buying vehicle/tuning parts. New Lighter Pistons, more Displacement, other Pleuls, Turbochargers, Other Crumbs ...? -all no Problem.
The Game principle is great, the Execution rather bad, or strong in the Years. Still, it's Fun, and there's no momentary Alternative.
If you want to buy the Game for €6.99, you should take a few YT videos in mind if you are Capable of suffering enough With their Bugs, crashes, eye cancer-causing graphics.
Advantage, there are umpteen Mods, a Steam workshop is announced as well as an MP mode. The Developers are working to get the Bugs and especially Crashes under control and have already been able to improve the Stability of the Program with a Patch.
Should the Game one Day be completely freed from Crashes, I would add to that here ... But I think that rather freezes hell.
In spite of everything, it is fun, with the Variety Of Models there are almost infinite Tuning Possibilities.
This makes it more Fun than the much newer "Car Mechanic Simulator," which simply restricts you too much in "virtual Screwing."
