To be clear, Stronghold 3 definitely promises what it holds. A "cutting-edge graphic" that is about as detailed as the bread simulator-so practically almost at FIFA 98 level. ;) Respect. The Developers have done a lot of Work, considering that in the same Year Skyrim showed what is graphically possible. But let's Face it, Stronghold is not known for his Graphics and that's why I deal with other Points of the Game.
For Example, with the Map editor. It was still relatively simple in the first Part of the Stronghold series, but the Landscapes seemed realistic and there were numerous Opportunities to design the Map. Since Stronghold 1, the Map editor has been getting worse and Worse and Stronghold 3 has "evolved" compared to its Predecessors. Instead of a simple Meadow, it is now a gloomy, Stone-demarcated Meadow that transitions to Nowhere. If these are not innovative Ideas ... The Trees sometimes act like small Paper trees that someone has painted green. With a lot of Creativity, this looks like an Apple Tree ...
In general, Stronghold 3 offers enough Freedom for creative Minds. Because a single Player certainly has more Ideas on how to improve this Game than the whole Stronghold team had together when they developed this Game. Unfortunately, you can also see this from the Story. The "Wolf," which was actually pierced by a Sword in Stronghold 1 and plunged to His death by The Bergfried, is now making its big Comeback! He survived and for some Reason he now lacks an Eye. One wonders why he hasn't become a Pirate. :) That would have been innovative, wouldn't it? Well, so the evil Wolf wants Revenge and plunges your Country into Chaos and Devastation, threatening to destroy the King's Land. Between each of the Missions are lovingly drawn Cutscenes that look like she drew a Kindergarten child in the Painting hour (nasty Tongues claim Stronghold 3 was completely programmed by Children).
Then there's the Online Player mode, which is even quite a lot of Fun, but Has hardly any innovations compared to Stronghold 2 (except for a few new Bugs;)) Last but not least, there is still a groundbreaking innovation: A separate Stronghold profile, which allows you to create your own Sign or banner, share your own Cards online and play on Cards from other Players and deal with Players from the Region. Can compare. When I wanted to create this Profile, Stronghold 3 suddenly hung in an endlessly long shop loop that led to nothing. Even with my Friends who bought this Game, that didn't work. Do I find a real pity:(
All in all, Stronghold 3 3 3 Years after its Release is still far too expensive, I personally would maybe buy it around €5, but more Money is then just too much for this Game. I give the Game a total of 1.5/10 Points, more just didn't deserve it. My Tip: Get the bread simulator ^^
