Stronghold Crusader HD reviews

Since my Childhood (about 10 upwards) I played Stronghold Crusader Enthusiastically. Then I lost the CD and I couldn't play it anymore. A significant Loss. Luckily, there's this HD Version on Steam (yay), which is why I'm now able to play this fantastic Game again. Positive Aspects:-many different AI Opponents-multiplayer possible via small Detours (E.g. Hamachi)-2 Campaigns for small But fine challenges-but still a clear Number of Troops with different Abilities (Tunnel builders, Builders, classic Crusaders, classic Arab Fighters)-Good raw Material System/Market and Gold for Trading Goods negative things I can't actually name any, BUT ACTUNG The second Part (Stronghold Crusader II) has nothing to do with the Original. It's pure Money-making And doesn't have nearly as much Gameplay to offer as the first Part. As is often the case here, The Original is better.

Yes... What to say about this Classic big? -You have the 80 Crusade Marches that become quite demanding towards the End-but Once you have all 80 it is done. -The four Historical Campaigns (Which are a nice Side occupation, but unfortunately a bit mau, in addition, Five of the 20 Missions are simpler Skirmish Battles)-The Skirmish Mode: THE Strength of Stronghold Crusader. Own Battles with up to 7 Opponents are also great Fun in the long term. Especially since the Skirmish Mode harmonizes very well with the next Point:-The Map editor: In Addition to the Skirmish Mode the second great Strength of Stronghold Crusader. With a little Creativity with Combination of the Skirmish Modus Or E.g. a self-created invasion/Ist economic campaign, this one also binds for a long time. I summarize roughly: Negative:-Mounted Archers and Bracelet Shooters are quite OP in this Part-The Four Historical Campaigns are quite short with 20 Missions and with quite little Story-Soundtrack does not get to The 1st Part ran Positive:-80 Predetermined Battles with hard Missions-Simples but effective Economic System-As in the first Part good, simple combat system-Beautiful, matching and timeless Graphics (Especially if you take into account The Release date)-Offers Hobbyists and creative People Long-term motivation through Ski Mish Mode and Card Editor-Nostalgia bonus-Generally the feel of the game The Negative Points are, however, more than clearly outweighed by the Gameplay feeling. In my a Timeless Classic that is a Must for People with a Penchant For burst Construction Simulators and Fighting Games. With Stronghold Classic the last Part of the Stronghold series I don't think is Good-But Excellent! Clear Buy recommendation. 10/10
