Subnautica: Below Zero reviews

i think it's worth playing if you've played the first one already, but there's very little they added/changed in this sequel that was positive. the above-ground segments aren't fun, the story is worse, and, on the whole, i feel the world isn't as epic. BUT it's always nice to have more environments and more creatures, and there are some "need to get breath" puzzles underwater that aren't bad
I think people expected a wildly larger scale than the original, without really ever having been given any reason to believe that would happen.

It always seemed clear to me that Below Zero was going to be a more compact experience, focusing more on new things like actually having another human to interact with, the whole seatruck modular system, and venturing out on land for a significant chunk of the story.

It's not a bad game, by any stretch of the imagination, I just don't think it's exactly what some may have wanted out of a sequel to one of the most serious breakaway indie hits ever.

Early Access Review Okay, it's an Early access game, you can't expect much. I bought the Game immediately on The Day of the Show, as I have already spent many Hours on Subnautica and find the Game first class. That Is why I think that "Subnautica: Below Zero" is being developed at the end. After the first Few hours in the Game, I found that a few Things changed. The very numerous Stones no longer give the usual Resurces and Wrecks are not available to explore. For this Purpose, vast numbers of Sea Ladders and Graviton Traps lie around on the Ground, which serve as a Source Of resort. So it will be difficult To get Blueprints. The Problem seems to be solved here by means of the Storryline and the Orbital Supply Station. The Flora and Fauna has changed and makes laune. You meet old known and also much new. The Country now also appears to be playing a bigger Role. You can see, even with the first Scans, that the Game is not finished yet. For some Animals, there is no Description yet. If you swim further out, or dive deeper, then you come across empty Biomes. Even with the Storyline, there are still unspoken Texts. The Storryline itself rips off at once. The Game itself keeps jerking strongly. Sometimes Items remain in the Inventory, even though they have been consumed. After the Newcomer to the Store stand, however, this is always cleaned up. For some Items, there's a Placeholder and not even a Name. The Bottom Line is I can say that the Game can already be played very well. But You also immediately notice that there is still a lot of work to be done. Nevertheless, the entry Sequence is very coherent and makes you marvel first. If you can live with Bugs and an unfinished Game and just want to experience Subnautica, you can definitely access! Those who can't do this should leave their Fingers off it. And those who have never played Subnautica should first play the normal Subnautica, otherwise the Game could be spoiled For them. ;)

Early Access Review Predequor: Having Your own Opinion is absolutely legitimate. Positive as well as negative. But What I simply cannot understand to a large Extent is the Way in which the negative Reviews that exist here zT have been substantiated. It is written that the Game is "Buggy, buggy, Buggy." That is true, but why is this being interpreted negatively at the moment? Unknown Worlds write on their Website that the Game currently has a lot of Bugs and is "unpolished" etc. When I start the Game, I get an equal Message first Displayed large and bold. Anyone who spends money here * so must be Aware that this Game is far from finished, buckled, unpolished, jerky, just not complete. There is also criticism that the Game is simply a "Reopening" of the old Game. However, It was also heralded as a "Standalone expansion." That is, as far as I understand correctly, the old Game is being "re-poured," playing in a new Environment and being expanded to include some Ideas. -> We have the new Environment. -> We have a new Setting. -> First new Items can be seen under the Blueprints, but not yet buildable. But they Will soon be. I think it's a shame when People pay Money for an Early-Access title, are pointed out thousands of times the unfinished status of the Game and then complain that the Game is unfinished. I think it's great how UW does it-the F8 "Feature" for reporting Bugs has already worked at Subnautica class and that's hardly going to Be any different here. The Game is developed together with the Community, the Fans, the People who play the Game. So "early access" in the most original Sense. Actually, I am writing far too much on the Subject here again ... Basically, briefly and narrowly: I played through the previous state of the Game after about 3.5 Hours and explored a little round. So Far, I am very excited about the new Environment and excited to see what more for new Creatures, Tools and Vehicles will find their Way into the Game. At the next major Update, I'll look again. Clear Buy recommendation-but anyone who wants to get it should please deal with the Topic of "early access" in detail beforehand. No, this Game is not yet a full "full release game." You still have to wait and see for That!
