Super Fast GO!

One of my favorite game series of all time is Mario Kart, but has anybody else noticed the surprising lack of local-multiplayer racing games on PC?  It seems just a bit odd, given the PC market's size.

   Well, one of the reasons people may say is that playing on the same computer would be annoying, because PC's weren't specifically made to be played with controllers, and are usually connected to small monitors. My fix to this is to just use the same technique that most of those free flash games use, just use the same keyboard! So, for my first game, my goal is to make a fully-functioning, functional, functioning, fun game that you can play on your laptop with a friend.

Currently, there's only one map - just a simple prototype map, but I have a list of around 30 map ideas I would like to complete some day, including but not limited to: an airport, a tropical resort, and a.. computer?
