Wowza! Nintendo's gone and done something new and exciting for Mario's 35th Anniversary; a playable Nintendo Direct!

That's right! Live out the live execution of everyone's favorite Italian Plumber, all from the comfort of your own home! Browse the gallery of his greatest hits, talk to all of his friends and family, and make Mario face his death with dignity! All in celebration of the world's most famous Goomba-stompin', mushroom-chompin' hero!

Nintendo's partnered with world-renowned game developer Punkitt to deliver all the thrills and chills of seeing your favorite childhood icon bite the dust, now in interactive form! In order to play, use the arrow keys to guide our hero to his death and the Z and X keys to interact with his excited onlookers.

If you're stuck on the title screen, make sure to click around! That Pause Button looks especially ripe for hammering on with the Z button. Have fun!

This is a work of parody! I know it's obvious but I just wanna cover my grounds here, lmao. This was originally made for my friend ItsMeMordred for her twitch page, so if there's some jokes you don't quite get, it's likely that they're a form of a call-back to something on her streams. Play time is around 15 minutes if you talk to everyone, maybe a bit more!

I scrubbed the game of RTP assets, but if you encounter random crashes or anything, feel free to report them in the comments. I recommend installing the RPGMaker 2003 RTP (it's free!) just in case.

USB Switch controllers work for this, as far as I'm aware. XBox controllers do as well, but you'll need to adjust the way Windows does XBox inputs and set it to be able to play older software.
