(1) Splat Undertaker Walkthrough - YouTube
Few people look to the past when it comes to the realm of Video games. Companies the world over look for the next big think to exploit, milk, and put out to pasture once the money stops piling up.Night Dive, you where in a league of your own. Always looking to the past to find long lost tarnished treasures that where in need of a proper polish.Single handily resurrecting the System Shock franchise, bringing Doom64 to a whole generation of new gamers without the need to hunt down obscure hardware, bringing forgotten classics back from the death grip of long dead companies such as Acclaim and Iguana.Unfortunately, there have been missteps along the way. The System Shock remake has essentially become the new standard in development hell. But the Blade Runner fiasco was also a sign of trouble, and apparently worse things to come. But to sell to Atari is your greatest misstep by far. You have handed over your life's work, your passion, and your identity to a company that is notorious for substandard practices. Be it the titles they rushed to the sales floor without a second thought, a recent console that completely missed the mark, or the dozens of poorly planned and poorly thought out choices that have plagued them the last four decades. You will regret this decision in the long run. I believe what the public is seeing is the toll at which the System Shock remake has taken on the company, but to sell to one of the laziest companies is just upsetting and off-putting.You have already received my money for the System Shock Remake. I pray that May 30th really is the release date. Much like Bioshock Infinite was to Irrational, SSR will be your Swan song. Thanks for the memories up to now, but I will not support Atari and with that, I will no longer support Night Dive.AaronEdit: Nightdive reached out and while I'm not wholly satisfied, they did hook me up with a Limited Run boxed copy of SS Enhanced.
As someone who has finished the game over 5 times (including one where I used Psi+Exotic weapons on impossible), this is easily some of the most fun I've had with SS2 in a minute.Due to SS2 being on the Thief engine, enemies will actually react to sounds and light very similarly to the guards in Thief. This means that stealth is technically possible, although very difficult due to level design that does not support it.I decided to run through at least MedSci on hard difficulty focusing entirely on hacking and stealth as much as possible, avoiding gun use entirely. It took me just past grabbing Dr. Watts' key to upgrade hack to level 4 to hack turrets. Most of the gameplay involved finding shadowy spots to sit and lure hybrids past me to get the drop on them. The Smasher O/S upgrade helped with killing hybrids with the wrench before they could respond. Two very thrilling moments stuck out:1) A shotgun hybrid spotted me from a distance and started running towards me. Rather than reloading, I booked it around a corner and hid in a shadow. He came around the corner and entered the search animation long enough for me to come up behind him and wack him to death without taking damage.2) After taking out the hybrids accompanying the maintenance robot, I lured him back around to the turret I hacked earlier and dodged his attacks until the turret and I could take him out. It was the most fun I've had fighting a robot in this game.I don't know if I will attempt to maintain this style of play throughout a whole playthrough, but it's definitely fun to use in MedSci to get away with upgrading non-combat skills early.
My fellow Hackers, take a moment to listen to my tale of woe.I had been playing the Backer Beta and had made my escape to the Flight Deck after setting Citadel Station's reactor to blow. Once there, I found myself engaged in a duel to the death with Diego- a duel that I lost. Once I elected to continue from the game over screen, I found that I could no longer do anything besides walk. None of my other buttons worked- neither reloading an earlier save, nor using another controller or keyboard, or remapping my controls, or starting a new game, or uninstalling and reinstalling could save me from this fate. I can no longer play the beta whatsoever. That conniving capitalist has quite simply punched me so hard that my immersive sim became a walking sim. I was so bamboozled that I made a Reddit account so that I could deliver this warning- under no other circumstances would I ever do so.Don't let my sacrifice be in vain. He's become too powerful. You MUST stop him.

Hey there, I'll have the chance to interview the developers of the remake for a press interview later today. What would you like to know?
I feel this is something that hasn't been discussed enough. I'm a big fan of the dynamic synth style of the original. Playing the demo, feels like the soundtrack (apart from cyberspace) is just a lot of dark/moody/horror background noise I was listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHg-E1JMKiQ and feels like the tone I would like for the game (or at least an option for those that want the classic experience) So what is the music design like in the full game?
