Tales from the Dancing Moon is now available to try in it's early stages of development.

The purpose of this demo is to give you an early look of the game. But also to test the framework, catch any early bugs and get a sense of the current gameplay loop to help enforce the foundation in which the full game will be built upon. There are minor story elements but will mainly focus on gameplay mechanics.

Tales from the Dancing Moon is a single player video game inspired by my favourite life-simulation games such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing and mixes it up in a 3D isometric RPG aesthetic inspired by games like Pillars of Eternity and Baldur's Gate.

Designed to be a casual title for anyone interested in classic-RPGs that focusses more on gameplay such as questing, NPC interaction, resource gathering, crafting, and building.

An an indie game, the story will be relatively short compared to other 'epic' titles in the same genre, but gameplay can continue by it’s sandbox nature.

Inspiration Synopsis

You wake up to find yourself in a strange world. A local Innkeeper finds you and helps you make your way to the nearby village of Illisor – a ruined place that’s recovering from a recent attack of deadly shadow-beasts.

You spend your time at The Dancing Moon Inn where you assist the citizens in rebuilding their village. During your stay you discover that you weren’t the only stranger passing through this village recently. You begin to follow in the footsteps of those who came before in the hope of finding a way back home whilst discovering the mysterious past of Illisor…
