Pitch:

Téocali is a 2D sidescroller where you play as an aztec soldier blessed by the god of human sacrifices, Potchi.  He's now gifted with a mystical dagger that allows him to travel between the land of the living and the land of the dead. He must venture inside an old temple to retrieve the mask of Tazol, the godess of purification, in order to trap her inside of it and stop her for destroying our world.

Téocali was a game made in five days for the GG week 2022.

Gameplay concept :

Fight enemies and use your mystical dagger to travel between worlds in order to 

to brave the temples every danger.

But beware, the longer you stay in the land of the dead the more likely you are to bleed out and die....and that's without taking into account the guardian of the dead that isn't too thrilled by your visits.

How to play:

This game was made using an alternative controller :

You can click on the button located on the dagger attack

The joystick is used to move around and jump

There is also a chestplate with a small medallion on it that allows the player to switch between the land of the living and that of the dead when he stabs the medallion with the dagger

You can also play on PC using the following controls:

Left and Right Arrow --> To move

Up Arrow --> To jump

E --> Attack/Interact

F --> Switch between the land of the living and the land of the dead
