Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure reviews

90s Adventures are back! Wow! What is delivered here is large (FMV) Cinema. The Game uses the Unity Engine (Gone Home) and offers an open And freely walkable world and Crime Scenes. In Between, there are always very funny Cutscenes with real Actors. These Clips are shot in 2K (!) and show every Pore = > great done. The Gameplay goes easily off hand, there are shortcuts and no nested Menus. The Action quickly picks up Speed and offers a Lot of Variety, the Puzzles are more of the light variety, but amusing and sometimes somewhat skurill. You can have a Lot of Shafarmseness, but these are sometimes only short Small Talk, but sometimes garnished with good Laughs. The Voiceover is English, the German Subtitles don't do much. Those who find it difficult to find out about the English Language will have little Pleasure with the Game, because many Allusions to Pop culture in German Simply do not ignite and the Word Wit thus goes fluttering! FAZIT: More of the same! The Game is addictive, I still know Tex from the 90s, but didn't play a single Game of the Series at that time = > Too Bad actually, because "The Tesla Effect" makes You want more (and for the Predecessors). The walk-in world and the Unity Engine do their Job well. Anyone who liked "Gone Home" won't make a Mistake with "The Tesla Effect"!

Yes, this is a nice Game. :) Futuristic Setting (2050), matching Actors and great Cutscenes, excellent music, good Plot (Amnesia, who am I? Who was I? What am I doing here?), albeit highly overturned. But that was certainly the Point of the Matter. Control has succeeded well, Puzzles are always logical and solvable. Of Course, in this Game, there are also things I didn't like and Passages that I had to agonise through first. Later in the Game there are some sneak levels that I didn't like so much, because the AI is just too stupid and predictable. This also seems more like being diced into it. The Graphics Are from yesterday and the Locations are deserted and not very numerous. The Comments, however, make the eternal emptiness of the Street (s) somewhat forgotten. The End didn't really carve me off the Stool either, but it was worth the Way to it! And of course this wonderful Self-irony that runs completely through the Game! It's refreshingly different and when you get into it, you're immediately captivated. This is my first Tex Murphy game, and purchased due To the curious Trailer. And now I will look for the Vungers in the Hope that they will also bring a successful Story. A Successor has also been listed and fleunded to Kickstarter. I am curious to see when this will appear on the Market.
