Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon reviews

------------------------------------------------------Game: The third Installment in the Tex Murphy Series, and one of the best FMV Games. Tex Murphy Private Detective, Dance Teacher and Eternal Loser, at a Super Fall with beautiful Story and wonderful Characters. ------------------------------------------------------Single Player: One plays Tex Murphy a Private Detective who takes over a small Case in the Area. Through this Case, he comes up with an even bigger Case that his colleague at the time is processing and staying out of it. Of course, Tex Murphy tries to solve it as best as possible, but if you still like to solve it and gets into a really nice imagined Story. The Basic Elements of the Game are to interrogate people, search For evidence and ensure, combine And examine items and interview people again. The Conversations between one and the Characters are always quite informative and Funny. You have at least 3 Choices, how you can have Answers to Choose from. But It's never exactly what you Answer, but only little Info about how to Answer, such as Friendly, cynical or unkind. ------------------------------------------------------Graphics: The Graphics are really good for back then, many are 3D Objects that you can touch. The Video Sequences always look very good and are still clickable. ------------------------------------------------------Music: The Music is very well done, and always fits very much with the situation. Unfortunately, the Sound of the Dialogues is sometimes good, but still manageable. ------------------------------------------------------Control: The Control with Mouse and Keyboard is ghastly, even by then It is bad. Moving mouse upwards is to slide forward which is extremely cumbersome. I advise the Gamepad, so it is at least a reasonable Control bar. ------------------------------------------------------Pro/Contra: + Beautiful video Sequences + Good Story + super Characters + good Dialogues + help function-no German Translation in the Steam Version (a Deutschpatch that roughly translates it can be found here to Download: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646929520)-very poor inaccurate Control (move only when walking) (if you want to play with Gamepad, Here's my Occupancy of Xpadder: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1203335088)-gets stuck in Full screen mode more often (you then have to minimize and then Switch back to Full screen)-you also often overlook what's------------------------------------------------------conclusion by the Graphic: A really very good Story with simple Super Characters who just need to get to know. There's a lot of Attention to Detail in there here. The Puzzles are always logical and always to be found with something to ask or search more closely. But there are Trial & Error Passages that are a bit annoying but with a bit of Luck and maybe a Notepad you can get on With Tex Murphy many times. What bothered me the most Was the Control that movement is like Mario 64/Kart on the Ice (only that one has a Button to stop immediately). Here I would have hoped for more, with the Gampead it went much better and more accurately to Control than with Mouse and Keyboard. For me it was now the 2 Part I played from Tex Murphy after Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure, which I really liked. I definitely enjoyed it in a playful and narrative way and should be alluded to by every Point & Click Adventure fan. I can only say FMV Games possess a certain Charm, especially in this Day and age where they are almost extinct. It took me 12 Hours to play through it, died many times and used a Complete Solution from time to time because you often overlook things or trial And Error Passages just Nerves.
