Nice experience - it wasn't hundred percent for me but I would definitely recommend the game. There are a few typos (a missing dot for example) but nothing that really is a problem. Sadly it isn't playable without a gamepad but fortunately I have one :D I'm a little bit surprised that this game is free because it's a nice little walking sim and definitely worth some bucks :D

FREE "The Alpha Device" is a short, free Short story in a Procedurally generated world. We float through a Room whose brightly lit Background is filled with a massive dark Structure that can be stylistically placed somewhere between a gash crap and the giant Ship from the Disney classic "The Black Hole." We float around the Room and encounter black, floating Monoliths that are somehow frapant reminiscent of Kubrick'S Classic "2001: A Space Odyssey." Near such a Monolith, the next Part of the Short story is automatically played, which usually consists of 2-3 Movements. Then we look for the next green Dot, indicating the Position of the next Monolith, float there and a few more English Sentences will play visually and acoustically. Nothing more is happening. Rum-floating, three Sets, floating around, three Sets ... Etc. The Story itself is relatively weak science fiction unitary. Of course, it's all about Surviving not only a Crew, but survival like the Whole Universe. Do not go Under it. The Constellations could raise interesting philosophical Questions, be Catalysts for Moral Issues and all too Human. But this fails because of the one-dimensional Stupidity and Unreflective nature of the Protagonist, who becomes hopelessly unsympathetic to you after just a few Sätzem. Atmospherically, the short Journey has been quite successful. Sound and Optics make something and The Speaker also does a good Job. However, the procedurally generated Structures quickly become boring, since the basic Equations seem to allow only limited creative Structures. In General, it quickly gets boring, but it can only be done about half an Hour. This is because you only ever do the same thing: Rumebeben and Listen. The all too flat story makes the Whole thing seem more like a Preparatory work on a Project. You can still Look in, because the first Moments are quite atmospherically impressive. And since it is free, and just because it is free, there is just such a Thumbs up. Rating: 7/10 Atmosphere 5/10 Story 6/10 Graphic 7/10 Sound 4/10 Game Mechanics-/10 Balancing 5/10 Game Pass Conclusion: Because free ... 6/10 Overall Rating
