The full Review of The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human can be found on https://indieflock.net/2016/02/08/my-bonnie-is-under-the-ocean/, you can get a Glimpse here: According to developer YCJY, what would the Earth look like if we did not do so with climate Change in the Getting a Grip? What Climate Catastrophe would it be that is most Likely to put an End to us? Drought? The Ice Ests? Storm? Supervolcanoes? The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human has chosen rising Sea levels in the Spirit Of its Name: All habitable Areas on Earth have been flooded for a long, long time. And many thousands of years after the creeping Catastrophe that heralded humanity's ultimate Demise, the last Human in the Universe is heading back to Earth by Spacecraft and submarine. The Game leaves little Hope of a Happy Ending, or at least a satisfactory solution for Humanity. We control the invariably last Person in his Submersible in Search of something whose Form he only knows himself. We Playfully move in a Mixture of Metroidvania and Titan Souls, because In the end Aquatic Adventure is completely peaceful except for the Boss fights and one or the other floating Mine. The sweet Fish, Seahorses and Jellyfish I can kill if I want to – but don't hit them back and also don't summon aggressive Relatives, as their feathered commuter in any neat The Legend of Zelda title would. The peaceful Exploration Sequences are about recording atmospheric Music (The Soundtrack is also absolutely worth buying outside the game), looking at the beautiful Backgrounds and picking up an occasional Power-Up for the submarine, with which I move through the Underwater World.

FUTURE After the rising of the Oceans, Mankind was forced to live in Underwater Citys. Ressources were going out and in a desperate Try Ships were send through a wormhole to find new places to live. But something went wrong.... It took the Ship ARGO 9000 Years earthtime to return. Mankind was gone... So it left ARGO no choice. The ship had to explore the Oceans in Hope to find Last Hints on Mankind. PRESENT You, the Gamer, are taking Control over ARGO and it`s Destiny lies now in your Hand! Prepare!!! For THE AQUATIC ADVENTURE OF THE LAST HUMAN! (TAAOTLH) At first let me say you, i have played many, many special Games, what means with atmospherics that dived me into the Game. TAAOTLH is one of these Games. Once you were in, you don`t wan`t to leave. The Future World of the Earth under the Ocean may be old school Pixel Graphics like in the Good Old Commodore times, but they are really amazing. YCJY was able to create a fantastic world that you can`t stop to explore. Guided by wonderfull music it really feels like what it looks like. But beauty can be deadly. TAAOTLH is not a walking simulator. It is an action game, not the easiest one. Hard but never unfair. It reminds me of the Good Old Amiga Times where Games were really chalenging, where you have to know the boss to defeat him like in the Legendary TURRICAN Series. This Game is a Mix between Turrican and Metroidvania for me. While you have to run in Turrican Games, here you have to (fly) swim. Another one from the Past which comes near is famous BLOOD MONEY Shooter. Anyway, you control ARGO in 2D Areas, defending yourself from Creatures of the Deep, defeat well designed Bosses and follow the Lore of Mankind. This Game don`t make gifts. You have to find hidden Upgrades to get better Weapons. So, explore really everything! TAAOTLH has awesome Artwork, so if you like them and the Music, get the Deluxe Edition that is really worth its Price and get deeper into this Game. The Deluxe Edition also have a map of this Game with all Boss Hideouts. As said before this Game has an amazing atmosphere and i´m sure you will be catch by it, too, if you like apocalypse Scenarios. Each time i caught myself thinking, what happen to them and who build that, while i find new Areas with sunken Buildings. Remember SUBMERGED? Yes, another genre but same atmosphere. So, get ARGO and dive into an amazing Adventure. Thank you for Reading.
