The Baconing reviews and comments

I role corridor from the Deathspank saga, the Baconing is endowed with a humor made in Ron Gilbert that makes fly. The performance is all the more successful as it will even satisfy the anglophobes of which I am part (on this type of game in particular). Original mix between RPG and beat them all, the title is accessible and funny. The experts will prefer the mouse/keyboard combination for a more accurate aiming, but I was able to make the 100% using my Xbox controller without difficulty. The voices/sounds/music are well brought in and stick with the light tone of the adventure, our friend Deathspank being the pivot of this strange Alchemy. A downside on the non-existent impact of the blows that one wears, to the body to body in particular. Graphically it's a bit messy but original, which could define the whole game eventually. Simple and effective menus, local co-op and globally well thought out success, cloud backup and patch FR available. It only lacks the title of steam cards, online cooperation and a real speed boost for our hero (quite a lot of backtracking alas). 13 euros for a title of 2011 is a bit pricey, but the game is refreshing + satisfying. I recommend it without difficulty.

A worthy successor of the first DeathSpank, this the Baconing takes on the same ingredients of DeathSpank almost every single point. It is therefore a copy-pasted of criticism of the 1 that I deliver here with some small remarks at the end of the note specific to this episode. Slice of laughter assured! DeathSpank takes place in a self-parodiated fantasy universe and delivers a totally delusional RPG/hack and slash. The game is only available in VO, but a very good quality FR patch is easily found on the Internet, and this makes the game accessible to the anglophobes. The dialogues alone make this game indispensable. Once you have the joystick, or the keyboard in hand on this game, you do not drop it easily! All situations and discussions are more wacky than the others, and each character encountered is a way to BREW even more clichés (in the right sense of the word). If you like the absurd humor, the parodies of fantasy universe, if you enjoyed the annals of the disc-world of Terry Pratchett, you will love DeathSpank! Finally, be aware that the Baconing pulls a little too much on the strings of DeathSpank, and it feels. The game is a bit less searched than the first two, with an almost linear progression and secondary quests almost inexistent (most of them are obligatory to advance in the main quest...). But it would be a shame to pass next to the conclusion of the DeathSpank Trilogy for these few flaws. Especially as... Attention SPOIL: the end cinematic gives hope for a continuation one day or the other. The ugly
