The Barbarian and the Subterranean Caves reviews

An ugly Visual story but that will give you successes and steam maps. The story is miserable, the characters caricaturals, the music repetitive, the menus disgusting (and not memorized),... but the backup seems to be functional nonetheless. The price it (4 euros), is crippling.

Product received for free the novel style corresponds quite well to this very (too) short story! There are however several choices and many ways to succeed to the end or rather to the different ends of this game! It is ridiculously short (in less than 10 minutes you did a run!); l interest reside a try to have all the possible ends and I believe that is the, the true depth of the game: Replay without playing the same way you deveil another facet of the story! It's a drawer game or like the books you're the heros;) The scenario is banal and the graphics are just average. interest: 11/20 realization: 11/20

The Idea of setting a Game in an antiken-barbaric Scene is a good one, but there is simply a lack of Implementation. Let'S put aside the Fact that this is "just" a text adventure with a few Pictures that are not even visually appealing. The Story is boring just like the Gameplay. After Accepting the Mission (yes, there is only one Mission in the Game!), you spend five Minutes to find the right Path in a Cave. Just boring. With that, the Developers probably wanted to increase the Game time a bit. I really gave the Game a fair chance as I'm excited by the Setting, but even here nothing was made of it. You have a very creative Adventure, which is already ready after 30 Minutes (game) time. There is no Recommendation from me.

The Barbarian and the Subterranean Caves is supposed to be a Visual Novel, so in Principle an animated picture book, whereby the Game Tends more towards the classic Text adventure than the usual VNs, we can use the Game by making decisions in different Ways. Drift directions and experience alternative Endings. I was very quick to go through it very quickly, but that was probably Luck or Bad luck depending on my View. Visually a completely different Way than the often usual Anime-0815, the Graphics were probably created with a 3D Engine and taken by Screenshots (or something like that) so quite elaborate. Whether the Optics look good at the End is in The eye of the Beholder again, I found it so lala. The Lyrics are unfortunately violent Narrow-gauge fantasy booklets from the kiosk level.
