The Belfry

    The Belfry is an action-rhythm game about a skilled bell-mage who is tasked with guarding the city’s Belfry from a horde of enchanted stone gargoyles. 

    Move, fight, and dance your way to the top while keeping to the beat of the clockwork in the rafters above.

---Controls------------

ARROW KEYS - Move

D - strike forward (blue)

S - push enemies to the front and sides (yellow)

A - strike diagonally (red)

SPACE - Heal one heart bell (when ready) OR finish a super combo (white)

LEFT SHIFT - gain extra bell power right after killing an enemy (pink)

    To perform a combo attack, the player may press the A, S, or D key on any beat, holding it down. The next beat, a second bell can be pressed as well, and then both are released quickly to activate a combo attack.

• D -> S : Pin one gargoyle, knocking it backwards in a straight line 
• S -> D : Push two gargoyles away on the sides
• D -> A : Strike diagonally up to three squares
• A -> D : Shoot a projectile that explodes on contact
• S -> A : Push enemies diagonally up to three squares
• A -> S : Shoot a projectile to the front diagonals and backwards that pushes enemies away on contact

  Super Combos:

• D -> SPACE : Fire a laser forward and backward that pierces enemies and shields, dealing heavy damage
• S -> SPACE : Push all nearby enemies away and stun them briefly
• A -> SPACE : Fire a beam in five different directions
