The Clockwork Man: The Hidden World reviews

This game follows a first the clockwork man released a few months earlier. It takes on the same principles and we find the same heroine. If I have trouble recommending the first opus, this second episode seems to me much more successful and more enjoyable to play. We find the scenes of objects to look for in panoramic version, we have some sequences of dot & click, some original puzzles. And that's what we expect from this kind of game. We forget the uninteresting script and the heroine without charisma. On the other hand, the game is clearly not worth 10 CHF/euros so wait for the balances to eventually acquire this game...

Exciting and extremely well done game, diffcult objects to find in relation to the games with which I have been able to play so far, no penalty in the untimely clicks. Beautiful colors, scenery, music, sound, animals that move by moment, everything is not that fixed. Moreover, if you want it there is possibility to see the object in question in picture (because sometimes bad translation) is very useful. There is no easy mode to difficult and no success. For amateurs like me hidden objects, I advise you. It is in French with mouse or keyboard. There is also a demo. By cons hidden object questions, they are super well hidden, this is the hardest of my modest collection.

The game is basically an undiscovered hidden object with some point and click items and some other riddle scattered. Interesting the variation of horizontal scrolling, vertical or in depth of some screens "Scova hidden Object". The Robotic Assistant has some useful upgrades to get suggestions on how to proceed, if you lock yourself in some screen (used once towards the end). There are No penalties for repeated clicks, but not even prizes if you finish a screen in seconds, then play without performance anxiety. It is Not difficult, the story follows (nothing shocking), nice setting. Perhaps the beginning of the story is not really clear. On TV in HDMI black screen (resolution not supported), on PC instead no problem.

The Clockwork Man 2: The Hidden World presents itself to the public as a mix between a Graphic Adventure and a Hidden Object Game (HOG), but unlike the first chapter, we were very happy to experience a strong influence more on the first genre than on the second. In fact, in the first The Clockwork Man The main objective was to find some narrative tricks to jump into the search for the most absurd objects, in this new effort of the Total Eclipse Games team, the central pivot is totally moved to the Narrative side, favoring not only a greater identification with the character, but also an easier enjoyment of all the meticulous care with which this title has been developed.
