I got all the Episodes of "The Descendant" straight for around 15 Euros. Before Buying, I read through some Reviews of the Game and now come to a similar Conclusion.
The Puzzles Unfortunately were dispensed with an Inventory in "The Descendant," which has set Limits on the Puzzles themselves. You can pick things up, but they are then automatically used in the right Place. Sometimes you need more than one irescent Object and then they can be found later in different Rooms. Later, puzzles are added In the Close-up view and even these are not overly complicated. Overall, the Puzzles are not particularly dominant, but do not annoy. With one Exception, in Episode 1 there is a longer section that needs to be resolved under Time pressure. It's a Matter of Taste But I like to solve Puzzles without Time Pressure, especially if you can't Save freely. Contrary to my Fears, this did not happen again in the Game.
The Atmosphere Much In "The Descendant" reminds me of the 2015 Film "Air." The Story of "The Descendant," however, is the better one for me. The English Speakers are doing a good Job. Sound and Music are set to support the Scenes.
The Atmosphere is supported by this and so the Game manages to build up a Threat backdrop even without real Time pressure, as in the Above section.
Graphics and Lighting are compelling. Ultimately, after each Episode, I wanted to know what to do. In some Reviews, the Story only became interesting after Episode 2. I find the Story is already good as of Episode 1 it only picks up more Ride from Episode 3.
The Storage System I had already mentioned that in the Game is not stored freely but automatically.
Since I like to try other Dialogue Options, this can sometimes be a bit annoying, because everything has to be repeated to the right Point when you were dissatisfied with your Choice. So I went back regularly to the Main Menu to put a Backup of my Storage Stock on one of the three Memory Slots or create a Copy.
Conclusion I got the 5 Episodes through after about 12 Hours. During that Time, I only had one Crash to the Desktop. (Episode 5 when I watched the big Cryotank.) Otherwise, the whole Game ran fluidly. The German Subtitles are well translated from English and ensure that you can play the Title even without a good Command of English. Despite a few little Carvers, "The Descendant" is a good India title worth its Money to me. So If you don't look for a Head Nut but want to be well Entertained, I think you're in good hands with this Title.
