The Dwarves reviews

I really tried. The map traversal is immersive, the levels themselves are nicely designed and I absolutely love the book series the game is based on. Sadly the character models are ugly and the combat is an unmanageable mess.
«Ugly as my life»
As much as I love the book series, this game is bad
The combat is a clusterfuck, healing is non existant and waiting for abilities to come out of cooldown is boring.

The worldmap traveling is nice as are the graphics, but fighting the camera is a lost battle.

First of all, I would like to mention that I am a huge ' ' The Dwarfs ' ' fan and for me personally the Game is very good. Objectively, however, the whole Game gives a completely different Picture. The Graphics are rather lower Mediocrity, although the hand-drawn images are very beautiful during Conversations. Otherwise, the Graphics can be compared to the Start times of WOW. In the Battles one usually fights against a brown Mass as against clearly distinguishable Orcs. Character Development: Is virtually non-existent ... You ascend in lvl and get more Life Points and every now and then a new Ability, but that was it at the Place. There are No Attributes such as Strength or Skill, nor a Skillbaum or the Like. Then there is also the fact that there is hardly any Equipment and if one can find any Per Choir only one item can be equipped. There are No Weapons or Armor To collect. The Fights are difficult but not necessarily very demanding ... Brew on it until your own Life is low, run away, rageneries and back into the Fray. But!!!! The Story is the absolute Bang, quite apart from the outstanding Speakers. It's just a Pleasure to follow the Story and keep the Dialogues in the Game. Another does the Way HOW the Narrative IS brought across ... In most cases, they are not Cutscenes, but simply read text boxes. But These create such an immensely dense Atmosphere that you can put yourself right into The Action ... Keyword Kofkino;) As a Conclusion so far: The Game is, from a purely mechanical Point of view, a very average Role-playing Game ... With a lot of goodwill. There are simply too many Game elements missing that are part of the good Tone in RPG today. However, if you want to have a role-playing Game in the truest sense of the Word, that tells a good story, and you want to have it with outstanding and ' insert a superlative of your Choice here ' speakers, with an Atmosphere that thicker than the Dubbel (please Googling... Especially according to the Weight of the Ramparts;)) Is, is just right here. To Illustrate this, there's a Gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arED4WGp28g&list=PLlsVUoxfBXot-Ff1ala0-QlHt4kJIWOgS

I'm really mega disappointed ... The Game is sometimes very loveless. In addition, I foresight I write a lot of Spoilers here! The Positive, of course, is the Dwarf Feeling, the Atmosphere that is created. However, that's to the Story to be traced back to and to the fabulous Voice actors! Unfortunately, that was already the case. The Game itself feels more like an In-game, from a NoBudget Studio. The Camerawork makes a Nightmares like the Albae couldn't do better and fighting is so pop and exhausting that even after the first 5 Fights it only annoys it. For example, the Characters do not run past a friendly Character to get to an Orc, or wait for a away to become free,... No... They just keep pushing the Colleague, including the Enemies. This often means that allied people simply push themselves off the Bridge, or crash a steep Cliff face. Are probably all third ... Ergo the way Finding Is a Joke or not present. Worst of all, history is totally curtailed, see the non-existent Competitions in the Election of the Grand King. That's really loveless I think made. Why not implement a Mini-game? That would have been so cool, I know the Books of course and had been so looking forward to the Competitions and was so excited about how they were implemented. But I was massively disavued. ES GIBT YOU NOT. From the Middle of the Game everything only seems "fast fast." Nothing is brought over properly, the Cutscenes are a bad Joke and I thought at the End that Gandugar was just standing on a rock and plappering with himself. There should be the Hosts down there ... No Models, not even cheered by an imaginary army. Full of Crap. In addition, massive Language Bugs, E.g. in the Esse Dragon Breadem, are read 2 times in 4-5 Dialogues, sometimes not coinciding with the Context. An absolute no GO. That must stand out? I wouldn't say anything if it cost €15. Then would also be the 11.3std. Ok. But for 40!!!! Forty!!!! Euro... An absolute Cheekiness. So much more would have been there. Unfortunately, I can recommend this Game as much as I would not like. And that pains me in the Soul ... Because I love the Dwarves ... Prefer to Buy the Audiobooks ... You have for almost the same Money over 50 Hours of entertainment and nothing is left out (almost). Or read the Books right away ... And let the Dwarves live in your Heads ... On screen, they're definitely disappointing ... Unfortunately..
