This game was made for the 02A2 (Only One of Any Asset) jam, as such there are certain limitations that are in place in the novel:
- The novel contains 1000 words
- There is only one (visible) character / sprite
- There is one background / one place
- There is only one sound effect
- There is one music track
Many things that were mentioned within the novel - about the world and the story - could not be explained properly due to the jam's limitations.
Therefore, if you would like to learn a bit more about the world, please refer to the glossary below:
Glossary- Alefar - A being that is said to reveal itself to humanity on the final day's of the Earth.
It comes to individuals and reveals to them all their sins. and their destination in the afterlife.
He passes on those who are ready to the afterlife. - Flame Keeper - A device that maintains the exact position of any molecules that are directed into it, by the will of the user.
A fire of sorts can be created by causing an exothermic reaction within the keeper, and pausing the molecules when a desirable amount of heat has been reached.
Although it can be used for other purposes, maintaining heat is its primary role. - Nori - One of the few great lands that contain some sort of human settlement.
- Sea of Stars - After the shattering of the world, a form of 'space' entered the cracks in the world.
It is space, and yet it is not. It is very much like how fresh water and salty water in an ocean will form a clear border - and neither will blend with the other.
There is a stark difference between the Sea of Stars and outside space, a difference that can only be felt by those who travel through it. - The Standing City - The greatest form of human settlement left on the Earth. It is known for its great merchanting masses, where salvages from the Sea of Stars fetch a great variety of prices.
- The Two Tribes - The two tribes, according to religious texts, were once two very savage and evil tribes of humans. They destroyed anything they came across and brought despair to humans like nothing else before.
Hearing of their deeds, a very powerful king set out one day to enclose them within a valley between two mountains.
Which two specifically, were lost to the turnings of time.
It is said however, that their return will be a great sign of the ending of the world.
