Story overview: The Gloom will be a 2D Shooter set in a zombie infested city. The player will meet many enemies along the way and go on a journey that will lead them to a shocking discovery about the source of the zombie outbreak, and what their world really is.

Plans for the game:

The game will be a zombie metroidvania that starts off in a zombie infested city. Players will be able to explore levels such as the interior of buildings, the city sewers, the city streets, and much more. There will be main bosses, who are all part of an advanced civilization from out of this world. Side bosses will consist of tough zombie enemies. Platforming will also be a major part of this game: current mechanics implemented for this are wall jumping, sliding, crouching, left and right movement. The player will be able to find powerful weapons they can use against the undead, but ammo will need to be found throughout the world, along with other items like med kits and food to prevent starvation. There is much more in the works, but this will all be revealed later.
